to uncover any claims, defects, and otherrights or restrictions on the property.

 Why do I need title insurance?

To protect one of the most importantinvestments you’ll ever make – theinvestment in your home. By having title

insurance, you are protecting yourselffrom nancial loss in the event that

problems develop.

 

 Are there different types of title insurance?

There are two types of title insurance –a lender’s policy and an owner’s policy.

Your lender will likely require that you purchase a Lender’s Policy.The Lender’s Policy protects the lender’s interest in the propertyin the amount of the outstanding balance of the loan. Mostlenders require this type of insurance and will typically require
