4. BETTER OPPORTUNITIES FOR SINGLE SOLDIERS (BOSS) MICHELLE RODEN, 315 772-7807

• RIVERFEST: Will be held on 20 June at Alexandria Bay, New York. Transportation will be provided by Family and MWR from Magrath Sports Complex. Lunch, boat ride, rock climbing wall, children’s area, and self guided tour of Boldt Castle. Click here for more information.

• BOSS AUTO, AUDIO AND MOTORYCYCLE SHOW: Will be held in conjunction with Mountainfest on 26 June 1:00 pm-5:00 pm.

Categories include Audio: Sound Quality and Crank-It-Up Bass. Auto: Import, Domestic, SUV, Pickup, and Hot Rod/Classic. Motorcycle: Custom, classic, Trike. The cost is $25 (non-refundable) to enter the Auto, Audio or Motorcycle. The choice of entering into more than one category is available for $25 per category (non-refundable). 5. CIVIL AIR PATROL (CAP) CPT ROBERT ORMSBEE, 315-772-4984 • INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE CAP? The Fort Drum Watertown Composite Squadron conducts junior ROTC type training for cadets and Search and Rescue training for adult members. Membership for cadets is open to youths age 12-20 and Adult membership is open to adults age 18-and up. Upcoming meetings are 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th June from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm in building M431A.

• SEARCH AND RESCUE: NY WING level search and rescue exercises are conducted every two months with Group and Squadron exercises conducted every month.

6. CHAPEL CAROL BURKE, 315-772-4451 • INSTALLATION COMMAND CHAPLAIN: A chaplain is always as close as a phone call away at 772-5591. After duty hours, call 772-5647 and ask for the duty chaplain. • THE TRADITIONAL PROTESTANT SERVICE: on 16 June will be held at Remington Park at 10:00AM for a Father’s Day Service and Fellowship Luncheon. • HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATIONS: The weekend of the 21st - 23rd for all districts with the exception of Immaculate Heart (June 15) and South Lewis (June 29). • NYS REGENTS EXAMS: Will be held from 11 June - 20 June.

8. CYSS SKIES DEB KENNEDY, 315- 772-6551 • GYMNASTICS AND TUMBLING CLASSES: Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday classes; Ages 3 & up. Fees range from $35-$40 per month. Students will learn basic tumbling skills, physical conditioning, and some work with the balance beam, vault and tumble. Classes for Parent/Totlers, Preschool, and Beginners for ages 6 & up.

• TAEKWONDO CLASSES: Tuesdays and Thursdays, Ages 6 & up. Fee is $70 per month. Students learn the martial art of taekwondo, and progress through belt levels as they learn. 45 minute classes, between 6:00 pm – 8:15 pm each night.

• CREATIVE LEARNING SERIES: A fun twist on educational programming – Creative Writing Fun is held Thursdays in June. Learn to write creatively, and add artwork and design to your writing. Special emphasis on the Journaling to work with the McEwen Library’s Summer Reading Program. Class time is 5:30 pm-7:00 pm. Cost per month for the program is $20 per youth ages 10-18. 10. CYSS YOUTH CENTER STEVE FERGUSON, 315- 772-6717 • TERM 3 HIRED APPLICATIONS: Applications are due for Term 3 of the Hired Program on 7 June. Term 3 will begin the week of starting 30 June and run through 21 September. The program is open for youth 15-18 years of age.

• ARMY BIRTHDAY BLOCK PARTY: Will be held on 15 June. The program is open for youth in grades 6th-12th and runs from 2:00 pm -6:00 pm of the event is free for members and $5.00 for Non-members. Food, music, games and more! A current school picture ID is required.

• END OF SCHOOL BBQ & OPEN HOUSE: Will be held on 21 June. The program is open for youth in grades 6th-12th and runs from 6:00 pm -9:00 pm. Come check out all the programs and activities we have scheduled for the summer. There is no cost for this event. A current school picture ID is required.

The limits and rules for TA remain as they were prior to the suspension; there will be no reimbursement for self-funded courses during the suspension. • SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM: Beginning on Tuesday, 25 June Mountain Community Homes hosts the Summer Feeding Program throughout each week. Children 18 years old and under are invited to get FREE lunch through the summer at one of our community centers on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.

• LEAVING US SOON: With summer, comes PCS season where many of our Residents move on to their next duty station. While we’re sad to see you go, we want to remind our Residents that you are required to give 30 days notice before your move out date. We DO NOT need a copy of your orders for you to turn in your notice. Get any move out questions answered at a Move Out Information Session – scheduled weekly at your community centers.

HOUSING BILL BAMANN, 315-772-7256 • OFF-POST HOUSING RESOURCES: The off-post rental housing market has multiple vacancies available with lessening demand from ongoing deployments as well as more inventory from new construction; as of 16 April 2013 there are over 5% vacancies in rentals being reported from the area’s largest apartment complexes. • ARMY PROVIDER LEVEL SATISFACTION SURVEY: Army Provider Level Satisfaction Survey aka APLSS (pronounced APPLES) provides you with the ability to use your voice to help your MEDDAC meet or exceed your health care needs. Each survey returned could bring $500 back to the facility to help us improve your service. Surveys are received in the mail to randomly chosen patients within 3-5 days after their doctor’s visit.
