Political WorldThe libertarian party’s perspective in the Political World is socially liberal. They differ on if government is desirable. Some favor the existence of states and see them as necessary while others favor stateless societies and view the state as being undesirable, unnecessary, and harmful. They want to deal with issues like crime and violence with a 5 point plan as a fresh approach as to make America’s streets safer.1. Protect victim’s rights2. End prohibition3. Get tough on real crime4. Protect the right to self-defense5. Address the root causes of crime

They are liberal because they have more liberal approaches to crime and government that major parties sometimes don’t think about.

Economic WorldThey oppose government intervention in the economy. Their platform is “the only proper role of government in the economic realm is to protect property rights, adjudicate disputes, and provide legal framework in which voluntary trade is protected.” They also believe in government regulations in the form of minimum wage that drive up the cost of employing additional workers. They favor repealing minimum wage laws so that overall unemployment rate can be reduced and low-wage workers, unskilled workers, visa immigrants, and those with lesser education or job experience can find jobs. The libertarian party want to lower taxes by wanting to get less government involvement and lower taxes, they want to be able to start new businesses easier, build new homes, and fuel economic growth.

They are liberal in this world as they favor free market and fewer government involvement in the businesses and want them to only protect businesses not interfere with it.

Social WorldThey believe government should not interfere and provide a safety net for the people. When it comes to education, libertarians believe that parents should choose the level of education their children receive and be responsible for the funds needed. They believe the American Welfare system is a total failure, and that people should come together and work as a community; looking for support from the church and private charities. They believe the nation will be more unified if citizens lean on each other in times of need.

They are conservative in this world as they believe the government should stop spending money to help the poor.

Cultural WorldThey believe the government should not interfere with the personal choices and behaviors of citizens. Libertarians approve abortion because they believe that it should be the choice of the pregnant person, not the government. They also approve Gay Marriage because the government has no right to tell a person who they can and cannot love.

They are liberal in the Cultural World as they strongly approve abortion and Gay Marriage and disagree with government intervention in personal lifestyles.
