2013/2014 Developments
• Publish service timelines for applicantso New Online Applications – closing date 1st August 2013
o Fixed dates for returning Documents- 3 weeks
o All supported with structured email reminders to applicants
• Dedicated www.susi.ie website
• A self service tracker system for applicants launch of self service Application Tracker with both web and smart phone access
2013/2014 Developments
• Continue to work towards launching the online application system earlier each yearo Online Applications for both renewals and new applicants for 2013/2014 is 4 weeks
earlier than last year
• Expand the content of standard correspondence templates to applicantso Our main letter templates reworked with more detail

• Segregate applications to specialised sections to cover self employment etc.o Special teams to assess Self Employed, Post Graduates and students studying abroad/EU
students studying in Ireland
• Improve training and scripts for the SUSI support desko New training for SUSI support staff and increased monitoring of quality of information
being provided by email/telephone to applicants
• Collect key data from applicants earlier in the processo Links to CAO to identify course/college acceptances
o Earlier collection of Bank Details
