“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.” So many times, in prison, you will speak with an inmate and they have a head knowledge of God, but they don’t really know Him. They’ve never experienced the love that the Father has! All of their lives, they’ve never had anyone love them like the Father can love on them. George Webster wrote these words in his song, “He Loves Me”: “Why did He go to Calvary? Why was His life’s blood shed for me? Why did He suffer as no man has ever done? There’s just one reason–I am the one! He loves me, He loves me, Jesus loves me, He loves me, He loves me, Jesus loves me!” I am privileged just to be able to tell of this love that He has that He freely gives to anyone who will ask!! “But God commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” He loves the inmate just like He loves me and you! I’m honored just to be able to share of His love with the inmates and school kids in New England! Family: We’ve enjoyed being home for a while just travelling out on the weekends. It has been refreshing to be able to be at home during the week, getting some much needed things done before hitting the road again full-time during the month of February, and then staying that way until mid-August, when we finish our time here with our last weeks spent at our home church. Titus is doing well in school and is doing really well in reading. He is over halfway done with Kindergarten. Savannah is about 85% potty trained! Thank the Lord!! She still has accidents from time to time but continues to improve. Thankfully I believe we have managed to avoid flu season, for the most part. January 2020 Thank you for praying for continued health. Ministry: Since our last letter we’ve been staying busy, both in deputation meetings and in prisons. We have recently been in 17 churches as our deputation travels have taken us to TN, AL, GA, and SC. We have added a couple of new supporters during this time, and we thank the Lord for them. I was privileged to be able to go and help in 4 facilities in SC and was privileged to see around 16 men trust Christ. I was able to personally show 4 men how to be saved! It is always a privilege to show someone how they can receive the greatest gift ever given! Please continue to pray for us as we continue to labor in prison and continue on deputation that God would, as always, continue to meet our needs. As I close this letter, I would like to take a moment to mention something new that we are doing! We have begun sending out weekly video updates via email and YouTube. These are typically sent out on Sunday mornings at 7AM. If you would like to receive these updates you can scan the QR Code above and it will allow you to enter your information to be added to our email list. Thank you again for your prayers and your faithful support as we labor for Him! If you aren’t currently supporting us, would you please consider partnering with us each month as we serve the Lord in the prisons and public schools of New England? We do still need approximately 35- 40% of our support before moving in September. This will put us around 75-80% of our needed support which will allow us to just about meet our obligations as we finish deputation in the Northeast while laboring in the ministry in New England. Prayer Request: • 10 new supporting churches (we’ve added 2 new supporters recently) • Moving Expenses • Continued health and travelling mercies • Salvation of Souls in New England • 100% supported by August 2020 Matthew D.
