Company Details:

Silicon Mentor is an initiative by a group of semiconductor engineers having hands on expertise across domains, ranging from System on Chip (SoC) design, verification, embedded to robotics, Biomedical Imaging, Speech signal processing and image/video processing for compression. We strive to empower engineering students, SMEs as well as established corporate with technology know how and enable solutions in VLSI as well as embedded systems development. We are determined to add value and deliver quality up to and beyond customer satisfaction. We are committed to improving the quality of life of the communities we serve. We do this by striving for

leadership and global competitiveness in the business sectors in which we operate.

OUR INITIATIVE:

As technology becomes increasingly important in today's world, it is invaluable to not only learn how to use

technology, but also to understand how to create it. Technology is the future and today's kids are tomorrow's

technologists.

Silicon Mentor is committed to using the inspirational & motivational concepts of Signal and Image

using MATLAB to excite the students about the advance technical world in which they will grow. This program

inspires students to make connections across several disciplines rather than learning topics in isolation as it

combines mathematics, electronic, electrical and programming skills.

OUR VISION:

A world where people understand technology, work productively together, and use technology creatively and

responsibly to improve the quality of life.

OUR MISSION:

To influence students to become interested in MATLAB with Digital Image Processing, Digital Signal

Processing, Biomedical Imaging and related technologies as an area of study and future employment.

To develop a mathematically competent and technological literate workforce

To grow future entrepreneurs and employees for the region and nation

To enhance the economic development of these technologies regionally and nationally

To develop standards-driven curriculum for university faculty.

We also provide teachers and mentors with training and materials that enable them to be effective leaders,

coaches and mentors of MATLAB and technology programs that teach and inspire others.

Our Team:

Our team, as our imperative asset, works with great zeal to realize the mutual interests or our organization.

Our team is made of professionals including professional trainers, managers, consultants, business

development staff, quality auditor and other workforces.

Each member in our team is selected on the basis of their domain knowledge in respective fields. To upgrade

the expertise of our team we also conduct regular training exercises. It helps us to be paralleled with new

changes occurring time after time in the market. Our team members are highly efficient and understand the

needs of clients as precisely as possible.

Objective of the MATLAB:

The main objective of this workshop is to provide the better software platform to aware the use of MATLAB to

solve and perform Mathematical calculation using different algorithms, image process toolbox with different

domain such as Biomedical, Speech Processing, signal processing and Multimedia etc. This is achieved by

imparting knowledge of image process toolbox, signal process toolbox and Graphical user Interface. All theory

will be covered through PPT and practical knowledge. This is a workshop with brief knowledge of Image

processing and video processing. The participants will be taught how to build, operate, perform and

programmed MATLAB algorithms of different applications during the course of the workshop.

What is MATLAB/SIMULINK?

MATLAB is a software tool used to perform mathematical calculations using Matrix manipulation. MATLAB is a

Matrix Laboratory. As a high level language it does not require dimensioning. There is a large collection of

toolboxes with variety of domains such as Image processing, signal processing, communication system.

MATLAB is developed by the MathWorks for computation and implementation of algorithms for different

applications. Simulink is an environment with different block diagram simulation for multidomain. It is a

dataflow graphical block diagram tool used in Digital signal Processing for modelling, simulating and analyzing

multidomain system.

Why we need MATLAB?

There are different reasons for using a MATLAB but the central reason is the flexibility, easy to use, implement algorithms. The most obvious reason is:

Use of matrix i.e. array environment

Use of Graphical interactive tools for graphical optimized output.

Use of toolboxes makes the operations easier to implement.

Perform time domain and frequency domain analysis.

Linear Filter implementation. Within the above are other reasons for using MATLAB for example MATLAB tool can be used to compress the image and video, face detection etc.:

Image/ Video Processing, Image enhancement, Image segmentation.

Speech Processing, speech recognition using different filter.

Easy to interface MATLAB with HDL tool for real time implementation (known as Co-simulation).
