Installing MatLab on a PC

1. Navigate to MatLab download installer.

2. Click Sign in to get started.

3. To download, you must create a MatLab account. Click Create Account.

4. The next page will ask you to verify your account. A verification email will be sent

to your university email account. Once you verify the email, you may need to click

Continue if the webpage does not automatically load.

5. A) Enter your UofM email, B) enter a unique username, C) create a password, D)

select the country, E) enter your first name, F) enter your last name, G) Check the

box “I accept the Online Services Agreement”, and H) click Continue.

6. Once you verify your email, your MatLab profile will be verified. Click Sign In.

7. Authenticate using the credentials you used to create the account.

8. Click the Download Icon - download installer.

9. Click Download; a copy of the installer will be downloaded.

10. Select the operating system your computer uses.

11. Once you choose an installer, the install file will download on your computer as

an EXE file. Double lick to open and extract the file.

12. Double click the mathlab icon.

13. You will be asked “do you want to allow this app to make changes to your devce?”

Click Yes.

14. Run WinZip the file will decompress automatically.

15. Double click the mathlab icon again.

16. A) Select Log in with a MathWorks Account, then B) click Next.

17. A) Click Yes to accept the terms of the License Agreement, then B) click Next.

26. When installation is complete, A) check the box Activate MatLab and then B)

click Next.

The Center for Teaching and Learning offers support to faculty, staff, and students. Upon completing

the training covered in this course; faculty, staff and students are able to receive additional training

help and resources. Such help can be located as follows:

• The ITS Service Desk is available from 8:00 a.m. – 11:59 p.m., seven days a week (excluding some holidays). You can contact the Service Desk for assistance with technical login problems or issues. Incoming calls after hours will be handled by voicemail services. If you require assistance after 12:00 a.m., please leave a message or submit a service request.

• Messages will be checked regularly and receive priority response the following business day. You may also email The Center for Teaching and Learning, [email protected] (using this email will automatically generate a help desk ticket).
