  • Use the construction paper on your table to draw and cut outORGANICshapes like Matisses.
  • You must keep everything you cut out, even the scraps!!!
  • Remember,ORGANIC , means shapes that are found in nature.

15. STEP TWO

  • Glue down everything you have cut out on the sheet of white paper you are given.
  • Use glue sticks.

16. STEP THREE

  • Use the white paper you are given.Draw a large picture of your FACE,NECK, and SHOULDERS.
  • Remember, Matisse worked in abstract art too. Your picture does not have to be perfect.

17. STEP FOUR

  • Color in theFOREGROUNDof your picture with the chalk you are given.It does not have to be realistic colors.
  • Remember,FOREGROUNDmeans the objects that are in the front of the picture.

18. STEP FIVE

  • Using the oil pastels you are given, color in theBACKGROUNDof your picture with patterns and designs.
  • Remember, theBACKGROUNDis all of the objects in the back of the picture.

19. STEP SIX

  • Outline your FACE, NECK, and SHOULDERS with the black paint provided.
  • You can choose to use black paint on your eyes, nose, and lips if you like.
