HumanitiesOur learning journey will encompass the slave trade, Brunel, Afro Carribean influences as well as wherever the children’s learning leads them.

ArtsBanksy – as a world leader in Graffiti and stencil art, we will look at/appraise and try to emulate Banksy’s style and techniques, culminating in our own ‘guerilla’ inspire evening exhibition. Inspired by Brunel, Britain’s greatest engineer, we will study bridge design, testing load bearing, rigidity of 3d nets and resulting in an awe inspiring Inspire Day.

ScientistsInvestigating forces on structures and materials to fulfil a purpose. Test, assess and redesign if necessary.

MusiciansMrs Lynch will focus on Bristol music as well as learning songs for our show. The children will continue to develop their reading of music and rhythm.

Personal DevelopmentChildren will be taught the importance of continued independent research and learning, as well as teamwork. We will continue to enhance our outdoor learning opportunities, however, we can only do this if children are provided with wellies and waterproofs, when required.Homework will still be set on Friday to be returned on the following Thursday. Year 6 will receive Sex Education appropriate to their age, Year 5 will train to be mediators.
