Maths- Rounding and estimating answers
So far, we have covered the operations of addition and subtraction. Now, we are going to be re-visiting previous learning across all of the four operations. This week, we are recapping our learning on rounding and estimating answers. I’ve added in some extra resources for those of you who would like to do more than these slides. Task 1: Get packing
Research what children would have packed in their suitcase.
Task: recreate a child’s suitcase with items in your home. You could make some items to go in your case too!
Or Task: draw your items in a suitcase.
Task 2: Make a label for your trip
Last week you had a task to learn your address.
Task: Create your label which would have been attached to you if you were evacuated. Include your name , age and date of birth and your home address.Remember to have neat handwriting and capital letters for your proper nouns.
Task 3: What is rationing?
Make a ration book.
Inside, write a couple of paragraphs explaining what was rationed in WW2 and otherFacts you haveResearch aboutrationing in WW2.
Task 4: Rationing & cooking
Research popular dishes which were created during the war time when ingredients were rationed.
Follow instructions and with help from a grown up Create some sweet or savory.
