What are the requirements for this course?
English requirements
In this online course, you will need to read
comprehensive learner workbooks and
textbooks, undertake a range of written
assessments and independent research
activities, and engage in online forums and
discussions.
Entry requires the successful completion of
Year 12 level English. If you have not achieved
this, you can demonstrate this knowledge by:
• Completion of a nationally recognised
training qualification at a Certificate III level or
higher
• 3 years relevant industry experience in a role
that requires the use of written documentation
and communication
Skill requirements
Students will require some basic computing
skills to complete this course successfully. This
includes:
• Accessing and searching the internet
• Downloading and saving documents from
websites
• Uploading documents through websites
• Participating in online discussions
• Creating, saving and editing Microsoft O�ce
documents
There are no formal education prerequisites for this course. But the Mathisi does prefer that you have
completed Certificate III in Financial Services or a minimum of two years financial industry experience
prior to enrolment.

Research and document legislative and regulatory requirements, access information and advice, identify lodgement schedules and ensure su�cient funds for and payment required.
Report on payroll activities Identify and reconcile total salaries, wages and other payments, identify amounts withheld and reconcile with payroll records or department.
Complete and reconcile the Activity Statement
Generate activity statement reports, check and correct any errors, adjust for previous quarters, months or year-end, and complete documentation and reconcile to journal entries, profit and loss statements.
Recognise and apply Goods and Services Tax implications and code transactions
Identify and apply taxation principles, identify payments, sales and receipts, and process accounting data as required.
Report on other amounts withheld, Pay As You Go (PAYG) instalments and tax
Identify and reconcile other amounts withheld from payments, verify instalment amount and calculate.
Lodge Activity Statement Have the activity statement checked and signed o� by appropriate sta�, dispatch according to requirements, process and record payments or refunds.
