Solving process

Plan: We used plan when working on a math problem a lot because it allows us to know what to do with the information given to us. This save us time and confusion later on when we actually start solving the problem

Equations?

Slope intercept form: To find the slope intercept form equation of a graph, you will need to have the slope of the line, and the y- intercept.

Page 4: Math precentation

Equations?

point slope form: To find the point slope form equation of a line you will need to have the slope and a point that crosses the line.

Page 5: Math precentation

Equations?

Standard form: to find the standard form of a line, you will need the x and y intercept of the line.

How to find the slope of a graph

In order to find the slope of a line you will need to find to exact points in the line. Once you have to exact points, you can find the slope by using the slope equation.

How to find the slope of an equation-To find the slope of a slope intercept equation, what you want to do is to look at which number you are multiplying by the input. In this case it is the 4.

-To find the slope of a point slope equation, what you want to do is to look at the number you are multiplying the x values by. In this case it will be 3.

4x + 2 = y

y -2 = 3(x - 9)

How to find the slope of an equation-To find the slope of a standard form equation. You will need to find the x and y intercept. to do this you will need to put a zero (0) on the x to get the y, and on the y to get the x. Once you put the zeros, you want to solve for x or y depending on which one you are doing first. Once you have the x and y intercept , you want to plug the numbers in to the slope equation

4x + 2y = 204(0) + 2y = 20

0 + 2y = 202 2

Y =(0, 10)

X = (5,0)10 - 00 - 5

= 10-5

How to find the y-intercept of a graph?

To find the y intercept of a line you just have to look at which point the line crosses the y axis

Page 10: Math precentation

How to find the y intercept of an equation?To find the y-intercept of a standard form equation you will just need to solve for y. To do this, you just put a zero at the x value and solve for y

4x + 2y = 204(0) + 2y = 20

0 + 2y = 202 2

Y =(0, 10)

How to find the y intercept of an equation?To find y intercept of a point slope form equation, you will need to convert the equation from point slope form into slope intercept form. Once you have the slope intercept form equation, the number you are adding or subtracting will be the y intercept

y-1 = 2(x-1)y-1 = 2x - 2y = 2x - 3

Page 12: Math precentation

How to find the y intercept of an equation?To find the y intercept of a slope intercept form equation all you need to do is to look at the number you are adding or subtracting on your equation. if there is nothing adding or subtracting that means that the y intercept is (0,0) or the origin.

y = 3x + 23
