The Owners of World-renowned Brands in Materials Handling Equipment like Linde,

Still, Fenwick, OM and Baoli, KION Group GmbH of Germany and the Well-established

Materials Handling Business of Voltas Limited have joined hands to create a New Joint

Venture. Voltas will be Sixth Brand in KION's Portfolio. The announcement was made

on the 19th March 2011 at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower in Mumbai. The launch of the

JV was attended by the Top Management of both the Companies. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sanjay Johri, Managing Director, Voltas Limited,

compared the new JV to Maruti Udyog Limited which revolutionized the Automobile

Industry in India and said that new JV will transform Materials Handling Business to new

levels in the Indian Market in terms of Technology and Volumes. He was addressing the

The Taj Mahal Palace.

Mr. Gorden Riske, CEO of KION Group in his address said the new JV will continue to

sell its products in VOLTAS name as it has tremendous Brand Image in India. He also

said that both Partners will leverage their strengths to create a WIN-WIN position and

aim to grow to be the No. 1 in the Materials Handling Equipment Market in India in the

next few Years.

Handling of 1500th Forklift for

the Year 2010-11 to Hyderabad Industries Limited

Reaching a milestone is always an occasion for celebration. Team MHBD achieved this unique feat of the manufacture and the sale of the 1500th Forklift for the financial year 2010-11 on 30th March 2011. A Grand Function was organized at Thane Plant to handover this Forklift to Hyderabad Industries Limited (HIL), Hyderabad who happens to be our Esteemed Customer for over 46 years.

Mr. Sanjay Johri, Managing Director, Voltas Limited was the Chief Guest and Mr. A K Joshi, President and CMG Member and Mr. Anil George, CMG Member addressed the gathering and conveyed their appreciation on this achievement. Mr. Satish Tambe, DGM Manufacturing and Engineering welcomed the Guests and invitees and briefed the gathering on the efforts that had gone in to reach this milestone.

Mr. M R V Johnson, DGM Marketing and Sales, elaborated the activities of HIL, the long standing business relationship with Voltas MHBD and introduced Mr. Krishnamohan the Guest of Honour to the Invitees and Guests.

Mr. Milind Shahane, EVP & COO, EPBG and CMG Member welcomed the Guest of Honour, Mr. Krishnamohan, General Manager Materials who had flown down from Hyderabad to receive the 1500th Forklift on behalf of Hyderabad Industries Limited.

Mr. Sanjay Johri, Managing Director congratulated Team MHBDs on this feat and thanked HIL for its continued patronage of Voltas. He also handed over the Keys of the 1500th Forklift to Mr. Krishnamohan.

Mr. Krishnamohan expressed his happiness to be part of this Grand Celebrations and commended Team MHBD's long standing relationship since1965 with HIL, the Products and the Product Support from Voltas. He also briefed on HIL's future expansion plans and confirmed that HIL will continue to patronize Voltas Forklifts. Mr. B R Swaminathan, Assistant General Manager, Exports and MH Systems gave the Vote of thanks. The Function was well attended by the Management Staff of all the Divisions at Thane Plant.

Hyderabad Industries Limited, the flagship Company of the CK Birla Group of Industries was established in 1946 at Hyderabad. It is a leading manufacturer of Asbestos Cement Sheets, Partition Boards and has 12 Plants all over India. HIL relation with Voltas MHBD began in 1965. They have a large fleet of Voltas Forklifts in all the plants comprising mainly of 4Ton and 5Ton Capacities. The 1500th Forklift of 5Ton Capacity will be used at their Hyderabad Plant.

Goa has a wide range of Industries like Food & Beverages, Light

Manufacturing, Packaging Products, Paints & Chemicals,

Pharmaceutical & Healthcare, Ship Repair and Steel. Most of the

Engineering Industries which serve the thriving Mining Sector has

established Product Support Centres in this State.

Voltas MHBD has been operating in Goa for over three and half

decades. M/s. AS Engineering, our Distributor for past 3 years has

ably supported us in Sales and Product Support. MHBD and AS

Engineering organized a well-attended Customer Meet on 18th

February 2011 at Kesarval Garden Resort. The Guests were

Customer Meet - Goa February 2011

Goa which is synonymous with Travel and Leisure has grown very

well industrially over the past 35 years. The Power Surplus State

attracts investment from MNCs, Large Industrial Houses, Small and

Medium Industries. The Goa Industrial Development Corporation

promotes Non-polluting and Environment Friendly Industries. Goa

has 22 Industrial Estates spread over every District. Goa has a Major

Port for at Mormugao for export of Iron Ore, a well-connect

International Airport at Dabolim and is also served by Konkan

Railways from North to South and Indian Railways from East to West.

The state has a good network of Roads and Waterways. Hence Goa

has great infrastructure to support Industrial Growth. Goa was ruled

by the Portugal for over 400 years and was annexed to the Indian

Union in 1961.

wanted a reputed and well-established Brand with good after Sales

Support”. Mr. Kakodkar is Director, Apex Packaging Products

Private Limited, Kundaim, Goa which has HUL, Nestle and Parle

amongst its Customers.

Rajasthan, the largest state in the Indian Union, is stragically located

in the West of India. Rich in Minerals, it is one of the largest producers

of Cement. Rajasthan's Marble and Granites are well known around

the globe and its skilled labour is the best one can get in the highly

artistic stone cutting, polishing and fixing trade. Rajasthan Industrial

Development and Investment Corporation Ltd. (RICCO), based in

Jaipur, the Capital City of Rajasthan has promoted 321 Industrial

Areas spread over the State at Alwar, Neemrana – Bhiwadi, Bhilwara

– Chittorgarh, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Rajsamand Belts.

RICCO has attracted Auto & Auto Ancillaries, Agro Food Parks, IT

and Textile Industries over the years and some of the well known

Industrial Corridor (DMIC) pass through this State of which 39% and

Highway Corridor of the Golden Quadrilateral of Road Network

passes through this State. High-speed Double Decker Freight Trains

with High-Axle Load between Garhi Harsaru to Pipavav passes

through Rajasthan. CONCOR operates ICDs at Jaipur, Jodhpur,

Kota and is developing a new one at Udaipur. Jaipur is an

International Airport with connections to the Middle-East. The State

is poised for a 8% growth during 2011-12.

Voltas MHBD considers the State of Rajasthan as one of the Focus

Areas and has therefore appointed M/s HI-Growth Spares & Services

as its Distributor based at Jaipur. This will help the Delhi Regional

Office to reach-out the Customers in this state with quality Product

Support. HI-Growth will cover the entire State of Rajasthan and is

headed by its Director, Mr. Vivek Singh Tomer. The Dealership was

inaugurated on 21st Jan 2011 and Team MHBD was welcomed by Mr.

Tomar and his team with a traditional Turban. Mr. Gajndra Singh is

Business Head of MHBD at Jaipur and the operation is overseen by

Mr. Vivek Thakur Regional Head from Delhi. The Inauguration was

well attended by our Customers and to name a few, Mr. MM Malik –
