The Data Source/Project toggle controls the Engineering Data Sources display.

ANSYS supplies a number of material libraries shown above New user ANSYS supplies a number of material libraries shown above. New user defined libraries may be added by entering a name and a location for the library file.

Materials can be added to the Favorites area from multiple data sources making it a custom library available in every project.

The Toolbox provides numerous material property definitions that can be p p p yadded to new or existing materials.

To modify materials in existing libraries the library must first be unlocked To modify materials in existing libraries, the library must first be unlocked.— Materials can be modified or added to the library. — Materials from other libraries can be added.
