What is CLIL?
• CLIL stands for Content and Language Integrated Learning
• CLIL is an approach for learning content through an additional language, thus teaching both the subject and the language, in this case, Maths and Spanish.
Why CLIL?
• This kind of approach has been identified as very important by the European Commission because `It can provide effective opportunities for pupils to use their new language skills now, rather than learn them now for use later.’
• CLIL has proven to be successful in many Western countries, including Spain.
• Learning a second language has become more and more important in a globalised world.
