Mastery: Course 1Goal:

To become familiar with Full Sail University and the students from the various degree programs in hopes of building a network that could lead to both educational and professional partnerships.

Strategies:

Explore the campus and develop and understanding of its layout.

To exchange contact information such as phone numbers and e-mails with my fellow students.

Offer my help and insight to my fellow students whenever it is necessary.

Filmmaking Concepts: Course 2Goal:

To expand my understanding of the different techniques in the making of a film.

Strategies:

Read- The Shut Up and Shoot Documentary Guide - Anthony Q. Artis.

Start the first steps to conducting a documentary on the Adman Rapist.

Attend GPS event with 2010 film graduates Josh Presuto and Nick Floyd.

Script Production: Course 3Goal:

To begin the application for an internship with ESPN.

Strategies:

Get on the crew for a Full Sail Live event.

Join the creative writing club.

Begin to find potential crew members for the Adman Rapist documentary.

Directing Talent: Course 4Goal:

Develop better and stronger leadership skills.

Strategies:

Read- Called to lead – John MacArthur

Volunteer at a local charity.

Attend GPS Event with Paige Davis.

Experimental Filmmaking: Course 5Goal:

Find a new path or strategy to complete the filmmaking process.

Strategies:

Shoot a project with a Go-Pro camera.

Read- Commando Tactics for Digital Filmmakers – Craig Forrest.

Continue working on Adman Rapist documentary.

Visual Storytelling: Course 6Goal:

Develop a better understand of how to tell a story with images as much as words.

Strategies:

Read- Shot by Shot – Steven Katz.

Wrap up filming on the Adman Rapist documentary.

Work on the Florida Film Festival.

Film Production Thesis I: Course 7Goal:

Finding my niche or role on a film crew and performing it to the best of my abilities.

Strategies:

Read- Adventures in the Screen Trade – William Goldman.

Work on a student project outside of my major. (i.e. games or music)

Film Production Thesis II: Course 8Goal: To wrap out my outside projects so I can focus on my Thesis.

Strategies:

Edit and finish the Adman Rapist documentary.

Read- Final Cut – Steven Bach.

Entertainment and Communication Law: Course 9Goal:

Brush up on my understanding of media law.

Strategies:

Visit the media law resource center website at www.medialaw.org.

Study the 50 Key media law facts by Dan Hollis.

Look for film festivals for the Adman Rapist documentary.

Film Production Thesis III: Course 10Goal:

Strengthen my sound editing skills.

Strategies:

Reach out to someone stronger sound editing to help me improve.

Work on another project outside my major.

Film Production Thesis IV: Course 11Goal:

To begin to search for job opportunities for once I graduate.

Strategies:

Visit http://www.filmorlando.com/ and other sites that post industry jobs.

Business Film: Course 12Goal:

To develop a better understanding of the business side of the industry and how to pitch a completed film.

Strategies:
