‘X’ is an American hard rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1985. The band coined its name by combining two of the group members' names. After only a short time, during which they reportedly played just two or three shows, the lead guitarist of the band was replaced by ‘Y’ due to his lack of attendance at reharsals.In June 1985, just four days after the lineup was finalized, the band embarked on a short, disorganized tour of the West Coast, from Sacramento, California to Seattle, Washington. ‘X’, India's second largest bike maker, finally unveiled its first four-wheeler, a low-emission car – ‘Y’ on the eve of the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi.The company, which had in 2008 showcased a concept small car but decided not to go ahead with the project.High fuel efficiency and lower emissions are the key factors on which the company is banking on to make its foray into the car segment a success. The company expects a big growth opportunity by targeting the three wheeler segment.The ‘Y’, according to ‘X’ has high fuel-efficiency ratios. ‘X’ claims that this vehicle has hit 40kmpl under test conditions and a realistic mileage in daily driving conditions should be above 35kmpl. The 200cc rear-mounted engine's emissions will be an incredible 60g of CO2 per km.

Opened in 1884, X was originally owned by John Orrell, a minor land owner who was a friend of John Houlding, a member of club Y. Y, who previously played at Priory Road, were in need of a new venue owing to the noise produced by the crowd on match days. Orrell lent the pitch to the club in exchange for a small rent. The first match at the ground was between Y and Earlestown on 28 September 1884, which Y won 5–0. During Y’s tenure at the stadium, stands were erected for some of the 8,000-plus spectators regularly attending matches, although the ground was capable of holding around 20,000 spectators and occasionally did. The ground was considered of international standard at the time, playing host to the British Home Championship match between England and Ireland in 1889. The first league match at X was played on 8 September 1888, between Y and Accrington F.C . Y quickly improved as a team, and became X’s first league champions in the 1890–91 season. The "THIS IS X" sign above the tunnel to the pitch at X was installed by former manager Bill Shankly to instil fear into the opposition.In 1892, negotiations to purchase the land at X from Orrell escalated into a dispute between Houlding and the Y committee over how the club was run.
