Aftermarket Base PAG OilsSantech does not supply these type Oils.These Oils usually lack most of the additive packages required for Metal Wear protection and Moisture Absorption for the prevention of Corrosion.They are usually “Price Competitive” offerings in the Market being compared to the higher quality oils.

OverviewLubricants are subjected to (2) basic test.The Falex Pin & Vee Ball Force lbs. Failure (ASTM D3233A) and the 4 Ball Scar Value mm (ASTM D4172) Test.The chart below shows the Failure & Scar averages of Industry Lubricants.The Chart shows test results based on the quality and type of the Oil. Bottom line, the higher the Falex Failure and the lower the Scar the better the lubricant.
