Delflam™

Delflam™ is a range of zero halogen nitrogenflame retardant synergists manufactured frommelamine resulting in homologues havinghigher thermal stability compared to puremelamine, melamine cyanurate, melaminepolyphosphate and melamine formaldehyde.

There is overall good synergistic performance atrelatively low load levels.Optimization is around 2%-5%.

The biggest noticeable properties are observed incone calorimetry where there is a marked effecton smoke performance and peak heat rate

UL performance is maintained. There are no detrimental effectswhen incorporating Delflam™ into polymer systems. The lowloading characteristic of Delflam™ provides the ability toreplace the overall flame retardant with a generic filler that mayfurther improve the mechanical performance.

Systems containing Delflam™ showed improvedflow characteristics demonstrating the highthermal stability of Delflam™.These easy set up characteristics also have noeffect on screws and barrels after processing.Delflam™ is non corrosive.
