It’s been 2 days since the

earthquake shook the region. We

are beginning to have a clearer

picture of the level of devastation

that has occurred. The most

severe damage is concentrated in

the population center of Orleans.

However, severe damages are

spread through parts of

downtown and southern parts of

the City of Ottawa. Damage

reports have been received from

areas across the region, including

west. Across the area, the death

toll currently stands at XXX,

with at least XXXX injured.

Hundreds of schools are closed,

and several hospitals have been

severely damaged. An estimated

four hundred thousand(???)

homes are still without power,

100,000 without drinkable water,
