Our aim is to train individuals in statistics, both as a subject in itself
and as a discipline to aid in the development of other social and
scientific fields.
Department of Statistics of School of Science is one of the few in
the country with a strong faculty orientation toward applications of
Statistics.
We teach Masters of Science - Statistics (M. Sc. Statistics) course
through problem solving & computer workshops. We train our
students on theoretical as well as practical basis.
So we encourage our student for data analysis & projects, to
develop their innovative approach to learning process.
To aim at overall personality development of the
students through Curricular & co-curricular activities
like Journal Club, Guest Lectures, Projects etc.
To expose students to the Statistical Software (SAS,
SPSS, R, Excel) and Statistical Techniques so as
to enable them to face the challenges of competitive
world and make them industry ready.
To establish linkages with various bodies
in society like industries, service sectors, academic &
