SUBJECT IN FOCUS

Garage Project

How many start-ups had their origins in a garage? Apple, Disney, HP and Mattel to name a few.

The Garage Project subject allows students to develop the skills involved in running an entrepreneurial venture in a real-life environment. You will learn to put lean start-up and design thinking principles into action as well as develop skills in team and process development.

Each group starts the semester with $1000 in seed funding, which they use to create a business that will attract customers, generate revenue, and give them experience with creating enterprises.

Want to live like a local when you travel?

Just as Airbnb matches people with beds, Entrepreneurship students Mond, Edwina, Kade and Madeline pitched ‘Lloci’ a start-up aimed at connecting tourists with locals in-the-know, for their Garage Project.

Their goal is to take you places you’d never take yourself with hand-picked local guides giving you access to bespoke studios, one-on-one sessions with experts in their field, behind-the-scenes events, private viewings and local hot spots.
