Agile Metrics: Why They Matter (And When They Don’t) Nathan Lagergren, MBA Presentation Summary Agile as a methodology brings a level of transparency to software development that has been missing from prior development practices. However, with the numerous different ways of dissecting the data now available to managers across the board, we risk falling into the trap of ‘metrics mania’. Alternatively, companies often focus on one metric above all others (i.e. velocity) and wonder why they continue to face challenges. This session will focus on the common metrics that organizations find themselves tracking, some of the metrics they should be tracking (but aren’t) and the challenges that present themselves in trying to paint a meaningful picture in the context of your organization. Speaker Biography With an MBA in Finance and Leadership from the University of Miami, Nathan Lagergren has spent the past 17 years working with some of the world’s largest Fortune 500 companies in driving organizational change through business value alignment.
