Social media is an essential and powerful way to drive new business and increase revenue with companies now spending more on social media than traditional advertising. Use networks like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to build an engaged online community that will buy from you. Content Marketing is a pivotal area of Digital Marketing as we consume content online all day, everyday. Learn how to create engaging videos, blogs, social media posts and more to attract customers, promote your business and sell your products and services across various online channels.

3 – Email & Website Marketing(BSBMKG510 Plan e-marketing communications)

With nearly 105 billion emails sent each day, this marketing tactic is key to speaking directly to your customers. Find out how to build an email list (lead generation), communicate offers and promotions, create positive customer relationships, and reward loyalty. Learn how to develop a website strategy and integrate this into your digital marketing plan.

7 – Data-Driven Marketing(BSBEBU501 Investigate and design e-business solutions)

Ready to discover the fundamentals of the high-growth sector of E-commerce? Here, you’ll learn about the ideal structure of an E-commerce site and the impact of site design on customer transactions. You’ll also understand how to deal with customers at all points on the supply chain and learn about the infrastructure and logistics requirements of an E-commerce venture, and the typical start-up costs for a medium-sized business.

8 – MarTech & Automation(BSBINM501 Manage an information or knowledge management system)

As a Digital Marketer, you will use technology in your daily role. Learn how to use different platforms and software to better understand your customer, manage their information, optimise your marketing, and do your job more effectively. Use this information to set up automated marketing campaigns that run in the background and are sparked by customer details and behaviours.

Annette StaglienoAnnette comes from a solid marketing and communications background within the music and entertainment industry. Over the past 15 years, Annette has worked with global brands such as MTV, Sony Music, Universal Music and publishing giant Pacific Magazines. She has developed digital marketing campaigns for number-one selling artists and Australia’s most loved celebrity bible — Who Magazine. She has a thorough understanding of all things digital marketing and loves to keep on top of the ever-changing digital landscape. Specialties: Social Media Marketing, SEO/SEM, Content Creation, Marketing Strategy.

Our Educators

Sharna BregmanSharna is an interactive and multi-platform producer with a passion for technology, quality, innovation and beautiful user experiences. She has spent the last six years producing large-scale interactive kiosks, mobile apps, games, web apps and social campaigns for some of Australia’s biggest brands. After graduating with a Bachelor of Media (Multimedia) & Law and a Master of Digital Media, she worked as a Video Producer and Editor before moving into the world of advertising and technology. Specialties: User Experience, Information Architecture, Systems Integration, Project Management (PMP), Website Technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc).

Adriana Fari-PalkoAdriana’s role with The Left Bank draws upon six years’ experience in digital advertising. On the agency side, Adriana worked with Ogilvy and Graffiti BBD Romania. In Australia, she swapped the creative side of advertising with the technical part by working with Adslot, a leading provider of media trading platforms in APAC. Adriana has worked with GroupM APAC, News Corp, Fairfax, Google, Pepsi, Bepanthen, Wienerberger. As a qualified yoga teacher, Adriana also aims to fully support students throughout their learning experience, by integrating mindfulness into her student mentoring and communication. Specialties: Social Media, Media Planning and Buying, Programmatic Advertising and Ad Serving.

Eloise SmithEloise has a genuine passion for supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners in pursuit of their marketing goals and business dreams. Having worked as a strategic marketing consultant for the last decade she has overseen countless projects for businesses varying as widely as cafes, to manufacturing tech start-ups to video games. Eloise’s industry experience is underpinned by a Masters Degree in Marketing and she is dedicated to empowering her students and sharing her knowledge. Jenny is an active participant in digital industry associations, speaks frequently at conferences and has developed and run training programs for both AdSchool and private clients.

What was your motivation for starting

this course?

Having been in a Marketing role during the late 90’s then leaving the work force to have my family and be a stay-at-home mum for 12 years, I found my Marketing skills completely out of date. Returning to a role in Marketing was going to be difficult if I did not update my skills.

Do you have any study tips to share?

Well, I’m a mum of three who works full-time with a husband who has a very demanding job. I have found coming home and setting everyone up at the kitchen table with homework, including me, works well.

Headphones on with loud music playing to drown out the cries of “Mum where is this” or “Darling what’s for dinner” works well too.

I have learnt to be kind to myself and not stress about the house being not as organized. Continually reminding myself and my family that it will end! I also have a very supportive work place and wonderful team of people I work with.

The online workshops have been a great way of remaining informed and keeping the spark for study going.

When workshops are on during the day, my team know that if my headphones are on and the sign on my screen saying “I’m in a class” is up, then they know that I am online, listening to the dulcet tones of Marek, the soothing voice of Sharna and now the explosive enthusiasm of Annette. Studying alone is hard yakka, anything I can do to connect with others on this journey is to my advantage.

What has been your greatest achievement whilst doing the course so far?

Applying for a job in the Marketing team at my current employer and actually getting the job.

My role is directly related to everything I am learning. My job satisfaction has risen (although so has the stress), I love what I do. Communications Coordinator is perfect for my personality and skill set.
