MA General Laws (MGL)=MGL Ch21A s13 authorizes MassDEP to make regulations
related to onsite wastewater systems
Regulations=Title 5 (310 CMR 15.000)—Onsite Wastewater System

Additional MGL=MGL Ch111 s31 authorizes local board of health (LBOH)

DISCUSSION
In pairs or threes, describe any local regulations for wastewater in your community. Discuss the purpose of the local regulation and the local conditions or reasons to exceed Title 5. Assign a reporter to share with the class.

For flows < 10,000 gallons/day
Limited exceptions where Title 5 is implemented at state level:
=All facilities with flows between 10-15,000 gpd
=State/Federal property=Case-by-case basis
