Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Lord,Peace be with you! I have returned!!
Many thanks for your cards, messages, and especially for your prayers as I recover from a freak accident on Sea Isle’s beach. There are better ways to begin vacation! I had surgery on both knees on July 2 moved to Bryn Mawr Rehab on July 5 and returned to Sacred Heart on July 19. I have knee immobilizers on both legs, and get around with the aid of a walker. My immobilizers will remain on my legs until August 12, followed by outpatient therapy. It’s been a challenging time, forcing me to slow down, while testing my patience. Your prayers and words of encouragement sustain me on the road to recovery. I am grateful! I can’t thank Fr. Mike enough as he filled in for me over the past weeks and recruited brother Priests to celebrate our Parish Liturgies. Many thanks also to the Parish Staff for picking up and taking care of the daily tasks of Parish life. Again, thanks to ALL! Be well! God bless,
Fr. McKee

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED GENEROSITY!This weekend, July 27 - 28 will be the
Annual Mission Co-Op Collection. There will be a second collection.
Please remember us during the Summer months as you travel on vacation. Our target amount for Sunday collection is $17,500 per week to keep us in the black.
Welcome Fr. Mark! This weekend, we welcome
Rev. Mark Marangone, s.x., who joins us for the annual Missionary Co-Op Appeal. Fr. Mark is a Xaverian Missionary (St. Francis Xavier Foreign Mission Society. Being exclusively a foreign mission society, the Xaverian Missionaries depend greatly on proceeds from friends and benefactors. You, too, can SHARE in the mission effort through your prayers, through your financial aid, and through encouraging young men and women of answer their call to be missionaries.
“MAKE OF THE WORLD ONE FAMILY” Inspired by St. Guido Conforti and St. Francis Xavier, Xaverian Missionaries serve to keep the local Church aware of, engaged with, and connected to the missionary mandate of the universal Church, principally by witnessing Jesus to those who have yet to know him.
In recent weeks here at Sacred Heart some of more participating parishioners have
been called home to God and their eternal glory. I can’t help but think the words of the Psalm we pray this weekend “Lord, on the day I called for help you answered me” were part of their prayer, as well as the The Lord’s Prayer. In the Gospel this week Jesus shares his prayer with his disciples. We know we have a loving Father who is eager to breathe his life into us. He listens when we call and truly promises to answer. So we can confidently and persistently pray to our loving and generous God knowing he hears us. May our prayer this week be: Jesus, you promised that if we seek fervently we will find, if we knock persistently, the door will open. Give courage and strength to those most in need of your consoling help and dry the tears of those who weep with your tender mercy. Amen
SACRED HEART SHARING PROJECT This weekend -
Non-perishable food items are being collected for local food cupboards
THANK YOU !! Your donations assist individuals and families in crisis. Your Generosity is a Blessing to Many!
May God Bless YOU!
