Dear Lord, On this Independence Day we are reminded of all
those who have sacrificed for our freedom, following the example
of your Son, Jesus Christ. Let us not take our freedom, both
physical and spiritual, for granted. May we always remember that
our freedom was purchased at a very high price. Our freedom cost
others their very lives.
Lord, today we ask you to bless those who have served and
continue to give their lives for our freedom. Bless them with your
favor and bounty to meet their needs. Watch over their families.
Help us to live our lives in a way that glorifies you, Lord. Give us
the strength to be a blessing in someone else's life today, and
grant us the opportunity to lead others into the freedom that can
be found in knowing Christ. Amen

Free Will Offering for our Parish
Youth
There will be a free will offering this
weekend to support those teenagers
attending the Steubenville East Youth Conference on July 15th-
17th.
The Steubenville Youth Conferences aim to help deepen the faith
of the youth, as well as guide them to encounter the living God,
who thirsts for them. The conference is an opportunity for the
young people of our parish to worship and adore the Triune God
with 3,000 other teenagers their age—it is truly an experience
that can profoundly change their lives.
We humbly ask you to consider helping to support this trip
through a financial donation. If you would like to make a
donation, please mail it to the OLMM Parish Office, Attn: Chris
Fortin. Whether or not you decide to make a financial decision,
we most importantly ask for your prayers, that God will move in
the hearts of our young people and that they will be open to His
movement.

Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement Appeal for
Missions at Home and Abroad The Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement were founded in
1898 by Sister Mary Lurana White as a missionary
congregation dedicated to serving God 's poor and striving
for the unity of all God's people. Their ministries may
include religious education, pastoral outreach, hospital
chaplaincy, social services, and community development
programs among the marginalized and multi-cultural
populations they serve.
A Franciscan Sister of the Atonement, Sr. Mary
Louise Natale, has been assigned to our parish and will be
here to speak to you during the weekend Masses of July
9th & 1Oth. Please be as generous as you can both by your
prayers and with your financial support of their ministries.
From Our Deacon Candidate
Please accept my sincere gratitude for the warm
welcome you gave me at all the Masses on June 18th. For
those whom I’ve missed so far, I am a deacon candidate
beginning my fourth and final year of formation. The
diocese has assigned me to your parish for one year of
pastoral internship.
My wife Andrea and I have raised our five children
in South Hampton, where we have lived for 25 years. We
belong to St. Michael Parish in Exeter. God willing, I will
be ordained as a permanent deacon in September, 2017.
As you know, the OLMM/St. Elizabeth faith
community has many wonderful people and resources, and
your role models as Christ’s servants have already inspired
me to hit the ground running for my year of training here.
Although a family commitment prevented me from attending
the Saturday Masses, I will get to those as soon as possible.
Please remember me, Andrea, the other 10 deacon
candidates and their wives in your prayers. Be assured that
you will remain in ours.

OLMM Vacation Bible School is coming soon ~

VBS will run from August 8th through August 12th
from 9-12 each day except for Friday which is
extended to include a potluck lunch. This is always
a fun week for the children and those who
volunteer. Space is limited, so sign up soon!
Because supplies need to be purchased for
each child and groups need to be formed;
PLEASE: NO WALK-INS THE DAY OF!
Please register by July 27th, thank you!
Cost is $50 per child, $80 for 2 children, with a
max of $100 per family. If you have financial
difficulties, please let me know Children from
4yrs. old in Pre-K through those entering Grade 5
in the fall of 2016 can participate. We hope to see
many of your smiling faces!

Eucharistic Adoration
What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration, which is held at Our Lady of the
Miraculous Medal every Wednesday from 9:30am until
6:30am on Thursday, is spending time in prayer before the
Blessed Sacrament. It is a wonderful way to gratefully give
back to the Lord a portion of the precious gift of time we
receive from Him. Are you wondering about a “right” way
to participate in Adoration? You may pray, read or simply
enjoy the peace and serenity of quiet time with the Lord.
Whether you choose an overnight hour, an early morning
time, or need a break during the busy day, consider joining
the people who pray a regular hour at Adoration every
week. It can change your life!

Act of Mercy
In this Jubilee Year of Mercy the image
of Jesus as Divine Mercy can be viewed
and understood as another expression of
the tender heart of God and the Sacred
Heart of Jesus. Our God’s loving mercy
knows no end and it is His greatest desire to shower us
with the abundance of his kindness and forgiveness.
Let us honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus throughout this

Spiritual Works of Mercy in His Name. Year of Mercy Pilgrimage
to Washington, DC Bishop Libasci is pleased to
announce that as part of the
