Jesus is the light of the whole world, and all peoplesno matter how far or how lostare in- vited by his attractive and saving light. This light came to the Chosen People and will be fully con- sumed in Jerusalem as Isaiah prophesies. Yet he will proclaim that all peoples are invited to be mem- bers of the same family and coheirs to the treasures of God’s love and mercy. Redemptorist Solidarity Fund During the last three weeks of Advent, we had a

“toonie” collection after each of the weekend

masses. The funds raised are in support of

Redemptorist Missions throughout the world that

find themselves with very little resources to

minister in places that are among the poorest in

the world. This annual collection is being asked of

all public places of worship where Redemptorist

Fathers and Brothers minister. St. Teresa’s Parish

collected a total $1,808.60. This money will be

forwarded to the Redemptorist General

Government in Rome, where it will be distributed

to those most in need. Thank you all for your

contributions. Your generosity is very much

appreciated.

A very special thank you from the

Redemptorist Community and the

Parish Staff for all the cards, baked

goods, and other gifts that so many

parishioners have given to us over the

Christmas Season.

Your generosity is most appreciated.

Renewal Plan Update The implementation of the Archdiocesan Renewal

Plan, “A Promise of New Life…Courage to

Renew” has begun. We have hired a full-time

Coordinator, Mr. Peter Whittle and a new

Implementation Committee, with Monsignor

Francis Puddister as Chair and Dr. Rick Singleton

as Co-chair, in moving the challenging process

forward. Discussions in the first Zone - St. John’s

East (St. Pius X, Mary Queen of Peace, St. Paul’s

and St. Francis of Assisi) are going very well. We

will begin work with the Mount Pearl – Gould’s-

Petty Harbour and CBS zones in January. Your

support of this process will ensure the renewal of

pastoral life in our Archdiocese. We pray for the

courage and guidance of the Holy Spirit and thank

all of those involved in the planning and

implementation process for their dedication. For

more information and further updates go
