For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.(Matthew 24:42) People who have had health issues or near-death experiences generally have a greater appreciation for each day being a gift from God. The rest of us usually take for granted that we will be around tomorrow. But when you start to look at each day as a gift, you realize all the little miracles that happen daily and grow in gratitude for all that we have been given. You begin to see God’s active presence in your life. There are tags from both Food Share and Urban Missionaries of Our Lady of Hope. Please consider helping if you can. Each tag has a number. Please find the binder that matches the shape of your tag, then put the number in the next available blank row with your name & phone number. Wrapped gifts are to be returned by December 8 for delivery to the agencies. Substitutions are acceptable. Please securely attach the tag to the gift. Thank You!! Fuel Collection Thank you for your generosity in the past. As usual, the basket will not be passed a second time, therefore your fuel envelope may be placed in the regular collection basket at any time. Thank you! NATIVITY DISPLAY St. Andrew Bobola Church will be hosting its first annual Nativity Display and Bake Sale on the weekend of December 14 and 15. Parishioners are sharing their nativity displays from 1:00 pm 5:30 pm on Saturday and from 8:00 am 12:00 pm on Sunday. Over 50 nativity scenes will be on display! What better way to remind ourselves of the meaning of Christmas? Coffee is complimentary for all attendees. Pierogi, baked goods, paczki and pies will be available for sale as well as servings of soup. A jeweled nativity set from the Bradford Exchange, worth over $400.00, will be raffled off. In 2019, this national collection assisted 30,151 elderly sisters, brothers, and religious order priests who are members of 360 religious institutes throughout the country. As Christians, we are called to “serve the Lord with gladness” (PS 100:2). Our elderly religious offer a shining example of what it means to answer this call. Inspired by love, their service, past and present, is marked by joy and a deep desire to do the will of God. Your gift to the Retirement Fund for Religious provides vital funding for medications, nursing care, and more. It also helps religious congregations implement long-range retirement strategies, even as they continue to serve the people of God. St. Louis will join with our Cluster Parishes for the Advent Penance Service to be held at: Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Webster on: Sunday, Dec. 15 th , 2019 at 2:00 PM.
