Professor Steffen Lösel Presented by the Aquinas Center of Theology NEW DATE October 23, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. IHM Lower Level Pope Francis recently approved a re-wording of The Catechism of the Catholic Church to state that “The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person.” What is the significance of this devel-opment in Catholic teaching? And why make it now? Dr. Lösel will offer his per-spective on the historical, theological, and political context of this revision before inviting group discussion and a Q&A session.

NOW HIRING Dona Maynard, our wonderful bookkeeper for many years, will retire in November. IHM is searching for a full time bookkeeper, responsible for processing financial require-ments of parish and school (e.g., payroll, payables, deposits and reconciliations), as well as maintaining safe environ-ment records for volunteers. Previous experience with the Archdiocesan payroll and accounting systems is a plus, but the candidate should possess a background in finance or ac-counting.
