　Data Salvage, as a company specializing in data restoration and having more than 10 years of history and experience in this area, we achieved stable devel-opment and can pride ourselves in high technological strength which allows us to cope not only with logical errors but also perfectly deal in our lab with physical errors in hard disks and reliably save precious data in many cases.　After the Great East Japan earthquake of 03/11/2011, our department located in Sendai city, where our business was established and also which suffered from the earthquake, performed restoration of highly important common data free of charge at the day of the disaster. This deed was born from the vision naturally derived from our social responsibility as data restor-ing business. Through continuous restoration of common data by installation of consultation office and work base at the place of the disaster, we stronger than before perceived the sociality of data restoring business and confirmed the necessity of technological development and persistent inquisitive spirit in order to accomplish our social responsibility.　The great strength we achieved in data restoration through working with the unprecedented number of more than 1000 hard disks after the earthquake is from the software duplicator, which we were developing at that time. ●MASAMUNE Clone is a Linux based software running from CD.　It can reproduce data on external HDD without removing internal HDD from PC.

●MASAMUNE Clone reduces the number of read errors using our proprietary algorithm (patent pending).

　Proprietary MASAMUNE algorithm based on the experience of Data Salvage, implements physical data reproductionwith small number of errors using such methods as thorough read/retry, bad sector skipping, reverse reading, etc.
