Dear Brothers and Sisters Assalamo Alaikum WRWB While presenting another issue of Memon Jamat’s Newsletter for the month of March 2011, we

would like to express good wishes to all our muslim brothers & sisters on the occasion of Eid

Milladun Nabi observed by muslim ummah very recently. We know that a large number of Muslims

do commemorate the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal of the Islamic lunar

calendar year. For Muslims, this date marks the most important event in the history of the mankind

because the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is regarded as the Chief of the Prophet,

to whom the Holy Quran was revealed.

May Allah develop endless Love in our hearts for our Beloved Prophet Peace Be Upon Him and

may Allah direct us towards right path, a path of peace, freedom, love and brotherhood as can be

seen in Uswa-e-Hasna of our Beloved Prophet Mohammed PBUH. May Allah Bless Muslim Ummah

every where with Peace and happiness. Ameen.

However, we hope this newsletter will be interesting to you all. We express thanks to those

community members who wrote to us and gave us their valuable feedback and suggestions which

are guidance to us. We sincerely apologize for any unintentional omissions or errors in this

WE ARE TRYING TO CONTACT SOME SCHOLARS, WE SHALL ANNOUNCE THIS EVENT ONCE WE

SUCCEED TO GET CONSENT FROM RESPECTIVE SCHOLAR.

3) CAREER COUNSELLING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

CAREER COUNSELLING FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL (INTERMEDIATE AND A LEVEL) STUDENTS WILL TAKE PLACE THIS TIME AFTER THEIR FINAL EXAMINATION. SOME EXPERTS RELATED TO THE FIELD OF CAREER COUNSELLING WILL BE INVITED TO ASSIST OUR COMMUNITY STUDENTS IN BUILDING THEIR FUTURE CAREER.

4) SPORTS

WE HAVE ANNOUNCED FORMATION OF MEMON JAMAT CRICKET TEAM, FOR WHICH WE HAVE INVITED INTERESTED MEMBERS OF COMMUNITY TO COME FORWARD AND HAVE THEIR NAMES REGISTERED. SELECTION OF TEAM WILL BE HELD SOON.

5) Medical Camp: in near future.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. We are going to revise our website soon that will contain short and sweet features. 2. We are pleased to inform you that Memon Jamat in it’s Board meeting has decided to register all community members of age of 18 years and above, possesses legal residence of Saudi Arabia to be official member of the Jamat with very nominal fee of SR.50/- for year. The registered members shall have following benefits: ‐ They will receive all information and circulars of memon jamat officially. ‐ They will be given priority for invitations to all events and programs in allocation of seat ‐ They will be eligible to participate in General Body Meeting whenever held and vote for resolution on any issue or matter, if asked for by the Chairman of meeting. ‐ They may be introduced as registered member with celebrity or chief guest of the event. ‐ They may receive concession and facilities on various occasions to be announced from time to time. 3. A COMPUTER TRAINING INSTITUTE HAS BEEN APPROVED IN THE BOARD MEETING TO BE

ESTABLISHED WHICH WILL PROVIDE MEMON STUDENT WITH FREE OF COST TRAINING WHILE NON

MEMON WILL BE BENEFITED FROM THE INSTITUTE AT A VERY NOMINAL FEE. NEGOTIATION IS GOING

ON WITH A SCHOOL OWNER IN AZIZIA TO SUBLET US 2 ROOMS OF HIS SCHOOL AT REASONABLE

RENT WHERE WE MAY PLACE AT LEAST 10 COMPUTERS EASILY. A SEPARATE FUND WILL BE RAISED

FOR THIS PROJECT OF JAMAT ONCE THE PREMISES FOR THE INSTITUTE IS FINALIZED.

4. THIS IS DECIDED TO INVITE APPLICATIONS FROM POOR FAMILIES WHO CANNOT AFFORD SCHOOL

FEE OF THEIR CHILDREN OR THEIR CHILDREN HAVE DISCONTINUED DUE TO INABILITY TO PAY THE

SCHOOL FEE. THIS AID SHALL BE PROVIDED TO NEEDY FROM ZAKAT FUNDS AFTER NECESSARY

FORMALITIES. NEEDY FAMILY MAY CONTACT JAMAT IF THEY ARE REALLY FACING FINANCIAL HARD

5. WE ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS, CONTRIBUTION, OR COMMITMENT TO PAY IN FUTURE OR FOR SPECIFIC PROJECT. BROTHERS MAY DONATE THEIR FUNDS TO MEMON JAMAT SPECIFYING THE USAGE OF THEIR FUND IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

Hot Water / Tea After Meal

This is a very good article... Not only about the warm water with your meal, but about Heart Attacks. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals for generations, not cold water, it is time we adopt their drinking habit especially while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a

cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you

have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid,

it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line

the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and can lead to many illnesses including

heart attack and cancer . It is best to drink hot or warm drink after a meal. Common

Symptoms Of Heart Attack.....

A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom

is going to be the left arm hurting . Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.

You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart

attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms... 60% of people who

have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you

from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance

we have to survive.

A cardiologist says if everyone who reads this message sends it to 10 people, you can be

Brief Report of An Introductory Session of Memon Jamat with Consul General Pakistan Jeddah

An introductory session of Members of Managing Board of Memon Jamat, (a purely social and welfare Forum of Memon Community in the KSA), with Mr. Abdul Salik Khan, Consul General of Pakistan and Mr. Imran Ahmed Siddqui, Deputy Consul General of Pakistan Jeddah, held on Sunday 13th February 2011 at La’Saani (Ex.Spinzer) Restaurant, Jeddah. They were accompanied by Mr.Hijab Gul, Minister Trade OIC in Consulate General and other officials.

The session commenced with recitation of Holy Quran by Mr. M. Hanif Jangda. Mr. Ashraf

Tumbi, the Chief Patron of Memon Jamat, welcomed the Chief Guest, Mr. Abdul Salik Khan, CG and his consulate team and gave a brief introduction of Memon Jamat.

Mr. Tayyab Moosani, Gen. Secretary, summarized the aims & objectives and activities of

Memon Jamat. Then the Chief Guest Mr. Abdul Salik Khan expressed his valuable views and shared with Jamat, his commendable observation about memon community and it’s welfare and philanthropic work throughout globe. He showed generosity and ensured that his doors will remain open all the time for memon jamat for any matters that need help & assistance of

the consulate. He praised and appreciated the welfare activities of memon jamat. He applauded Jamat for collecting and disbursing the relief funds to the flood victims in Pakistan personally. He also introduced a welfare program and requested to participate in rehabilitation project for flood victims. Interested members may contact Mr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqi, Deputy Consul General directly for further information and participation in the aforementioned program. CG also advised to remit the funds through the financial institutions officially in order to participation in the economy of our country. Vote of thanks given by Dr. Iqbal Musani the president of Jamat.

While having dinner, General Secretary introduced all board members of memon jamat with CG one by one personally. Members of the board were delighted to attend the occasion since it was purely social & introductory session. The Board members were have recommended to invite Consul General of India also in another session and maintain the relationship with the both consulates for social & welfare deeds only.

مجبور نہ کرنا

جس شے کو جی چاہے ميرا اس کو مجه سے دور نہ کرنا

پرہيزوں کی آڑ ميں ہر پل ميرا دل رنجور نہ کرنا

کس کا فرض ہے مجه کو رکهنا اس بارے ميں اک دوجے سے بحث نہ کرنا

آپس ميں بے کار نہ لڑنا جس کو کچه مجبوری ہو اس بهائی پر

الزام نہ دهرناشائد کل تم جان سکو گے ،اس ماں کو

پہچان سکو گےگر چہ جيون کی اس دوڑ ميں ،ميں نے

After family gatherings organized by memon jamat during the year, several families have become active in searching match for their grown up children from among the community. Al Hamdo Lillah in this connection a good progress is going on, in fact proposals among various families for their children are being exchanged with the help of families of some office bearers under strict confidentiality.

Since the Memon Matrimonial Website is under construction which might take time, we kindly request all those memon families whose children are grown up and they intend to look for OR waiting for match now or after some time, to submit very brief particulars about their children.
