Current Before reaching 10 successful years in the construction industry, I felt the need

to expand my career field into the Home Inspection profession. I attended all state required classes, field training and continuing education courses. It took a little over a year to complete all requirements. I received my state license to inspect homes on July 1, 2014 (Lic # 10873 Louisiana State Board of Home Inspectors). I visually inspect and take photos of the home while explaining to the client (if present) what discrepancies I may find and offer them an explanation and proper course of action, if any. Then I compile all information into a computer generated report and submit it to the client. I manage all accounts receivable and payable. I also manage and file all tax documents, company insurance and state require fees.

I started this company in 2004 with nothing more than myself, a few dollars, the tools in my truck and a desire to expand into a competitive company in my area. Over a ten year course, it grew into a company that employed as many as 15 people and had operations from Shreveport, LA to Leesville, LA. We expanded from small home remodels to large apartment complex, rehabilitations and construction. I handled all bid preparations / presentations, material ordering and distribution, employee hiring, evaluation and termination. I was also responsible for all accounts payable / receivable and company tax preparation.
