9892 pcs of misfires / danger materials found and collected
exploaded, destroyed…
Clear-cutting 375 ha of pine,
forest/shrub/scarce vegetation on dunes and grasslands
Removal of cut wood
Pine logs collection
„point”removal of remaining roots
Field visit monitoring…
Preliminary results…
Safer jumping…
Better conditions for training
• TROUBLES / OBSTACLES
• Secondary succession– ASPEN!, – root suckers, birch
• Clearing the area of remaining small pieces of roots, bark, etc.
• Very difficult conditions for tree cutting and clearance – high temperature,
machine defects – sand!, difficulties in timber transport
Complicated field coordination – active military traing area, removal of misfires, removal of trees, monitoring of nature
Huge ecological experiment –
eolic processes, population dynamics, unknown rate of succesion –
lots of questions
MONITORING and DYNAMIC MANAGEMENT after the project
