SPA SVABLOVKA, Sabinov

The concept of the spa is based on the nature of the beauti-ful terrace plot in the forest above the city. The design wants to strengthen the existing calm relaxing atmos-phere. However the aim of my project is recover spa in the same place of the ruined spa with strong potential for initiating cultural and social events in the city as it was in the past. The building features are clearly separated into restaurant and the spa with accommodation. The spa has upper intimate illumination created by shifting of the second floor and introvert character. The large continuous glazing structures create an air of lightness and transpar-ency to rooms and social spaces. External shading protects the interior from overheating.Year: 2014

REVITALIZATION OF THE SVRATKA EMBANKMENT, Brno

The Svratka river flows through Brno city center. However, it is currently regulated and separated from the life of the city. Human contact with water is lacking. The Svratka river in Brno is seen as a channel rather than a valuable recrea-tional waterfront and green corridor. The area is partially suffered by an important transport corridor, which is lined in close proximity to the river. A connection of two impor-tant areas could be potential. Recreation area and emerg-ing business district.

The proposal has three main elements: water, waterfront and connection. Water as an essential quality of the area must be maintained. Embankment must be model to give an access to water. The connection of the river must be the most colorful then move will be increased and more attrac-tive. We create spaces for activities with water and on its banks. Spaces that are intimate and individual in contrast to cultural and social spaces. We mix varied age groups, forms of active and passive recreation, ect... In the future is the Svratka River, which fully performs the function of cultural - social and recreational public space.

STVANICE ISLAND, Prague

Our goal is to achieve a sustainable and self-sufficient city park. The instrument for this purpose is an economic con-cept of restoration of the island’s funding in first stage and the strategic development of the area with arrangement of conceptual interventions. By dividing the amount of the budget assigned for the reconstruction of the island in the first stage it is possible to achieve the maximum effect of recovery of the entire area without additional public invest-ments. The first part of the budget will be invested in basic infrastructure modification. The second part will be trans-ferred to the Endowment fund Stvanice. From this amount of money the processes and the activities around the island will be stimulated by the form of a grant policy. The result after completion of the grant project and withdraw of the fund will be sufficient usage creating events on the island during whole year. After some time the return on the initial investment into the fund is expected via rent from usage. The outcome is an island saturated with attractive features which manage the glades and fund manages areas of park. The whole island is therefore economically independent.

The Trimo Urban Crash 2013 Competition dealed with the reinvention of modular space unit composition. The task was to design a creative urban meeting point – the Bike Base focus on the cyclists’ user experience.

Demographically, visitors of the Bike Base will come from very different social and age groups: students, working people, commuters and occasional cyclists, people who ride for fun, tourists, people who use a bicycle in/for their work (couriers, letter carriers), sport cyclists, electric bik-ers, and even pedestrians, of course.

reasons to stop at the Bike Base: - grabbing a morning coffee or pastry on the way to work or school - enjoying an after-work refreshment or a chat with friends - resting along your cycling tour or in between stops - checking your mail at the wireless hot-spot - charging your mobile phone, laptop or your elec- tric bike - making a small repair or topping up your tire pressure

FIRE STATION, Bratislava

The longitudinal building of the fire station is located along the highway on the border of district Petržalka in Brati-slava. It is proposed for the new district Južné mesto ( South city ). One compact mass is divided into two storey office part with cloakrooms and the vehical hall. Behind the building is small playing field and in front of the manipula-tion space for fire vehicles. I found inspiration for the pro-ject in bunkers of past and future, which gives the building an appearance of protection and safety.
