Mega-Tarpon More and more fly fishermen are discovering the Mega-Tarpons of Isla Joventud. During our trips of 2010 - 2014, many Tarpons between 50 and + 100 pounds were hooked and actually landed. These fish can be found both on the flats and in deeper channels. Around and between the many mangrove inlets Tarpons ranges from 10 to 70 pounds. In 2013 and 2014 Tarpon were caught of 120 + pounds. Catches of these fish (see pictures !) are not uncommon here........... Saltwater Game Fish Snook, Snapper, Barracuda and Jack Crevalle are real destroyers of your leaders and flies. Along with the Bonefish, Tarpon & Permit, Isla Juventud make this a very unique saltwater fly fishing destination in the world.

From March 7th to March 28th you can present your flies in a virgin saltwater fly fishing mecca of more than 3,000 km2.

saltwater fly fishing destination in the world.
Bonefish & Permit For many saltwater fly fishermen Bonefish is still the ultimate target on the flats.
The guides of Isla Joventuds have very good eyes and spot Bonefish very easy for you. Here the fish are not as shy as for example in the Bahamas. Catches of many fish per
day is possible. The average is 5 to 6 pound, 7 - 8 pounders are caught daily. Big Bones + 10 pounds are regularly spotted. Our biggest Bonefish caught in 2009
weighted + 13 pounds ! The last years more and more Permits have been seen daily. Our groupmembers caught already Permit up to 16 pounds on Crabflies on
the same flats were Bonefish have been spotted.
Only 4 boats are available for each week ! At this moment there are a few spots left for each week. Please send your application before.......2014.
