1) Feedback on the track in terms of what genre is it, what target audience they believed it was for and what they would expect from a video. With our music video we wanted to portray an indie look throughout the whole video with the use of colours, trends and also the way in which the music video was structured. With our music video we wanted a narrative storyline that follows a couple as in a lot of indie pop artist music videos such as Ellie Goulding, Colbie Callait their music videos tend to follow a storyline between a couple. I feel like with our music video we successfully were able to follow a storyline, proof of this is from our audience feedback where they said, ‘ It gives off a romantic storyline throughout the whole video’. Our group also wanted our music video to look vintage so with our editing we decided to research certain effects on our final cut editing software. Intially we had a problem as we were using the editing software ‘Final Cut Express’ which didn’t have our desired effect like ‘ Final Cut Pro’, this therefore caused a problem upon our group as we now needed to find a replacement effect and we were concerned that this overall would not satisfy us

Information from outaudience feedback showed that ourMarthas music video was an interesting collection of setlocations, with smooth panoramic shots it displayed cambridge in

2. an idyllic light with a quirky chemistry between the twoperformers. the shots were edited together smoothly and youcould tell that a bit of editing had been added to create an effect ofperfection and flawlessness, the lip syncing was well in time andthe montage of flirting between the male and female was aparticular favourite section of mine. I think it kept to the indie poptheme with simplistic shots and merely the characters giving you apersonality with fashionable clothing and a glint of charm in theireyes. It felt like natural chemistry was there and that the story linemoved along well, without huge developments in a convolutedplot. Simplistic, whimsical and sweet. The simplistic use of the colouring of the video is well thought, giving it the old fashion look that goes well with the overall themeof the song lyrics. It gives off a romantic story, and the setting ofthe music video and tricks of behind the camera reallycompliment this, and can easily relate to its target audience.Suggestions on how to answer this:Look back on your audience feedback and write notes on whatwas given - write down interesting or specific phrases. What was useful? What came up consistently? What 3. feedback helped you creatively? Can you give examplesfrom your final video that prove you acted upon audiencefeedback? Was there any feedback that you ignored - whydid you ignore that? Was there some particular feedback thatwas more useful than other bits? Why? Just how useful wasthe audience feedback? Do you think it is necessary for thecreative process?Write up a response using appropriate media terminology, making reference to specific examples from your feedback andproducts to back up your pointsThis response will be your script for you commentary. On averagepeople speak at about 130-150 words per minute - so if you makeyour response about 500 words that will make your commentaryaround 3 minutes or so.Make this speech into a camera or a digital recording device, bringit into Final Cut and then illustrate your words with whatever youdeem appropriate: Clips from you rough cut/finalversion. Evidence of the audience feedback - clips frominterviews, screenshots of text Clips or screenshots from realmedia products. 4. Some example ideas for a response:The feedback on what genre the track was interesting as ourinitial thoughts was that it was clearly an indie-pop trackhowever, other classed it as simply pop or even easylistening. Despite this we still based our video on theconventions of indie-pop rather than anything else...A consistent criticism of the rough cut was that there was alack of camera movement throughout the video [SHOW CLIPOR ROUGH CUT]. One bit of feedback from XXX stated thatthe camera is too static and doesnt match the tempo of thetrack [SHOW SCREENSHOT OF TEXT]. On reflection weagreed with this particuarly in middle section of the track.Because of this we planning and carried out a re-shoot topurposely bring more movement to the shots of the band -specifically this zoom into the lead singers face and almostPOV from the top of the fret board. [SHOW THESEPARTICULAR CLIPS] It added variety to the video and helped.....
