AMPLIFICATION
one standing microphone (corded) is provided free of
charge in the ceremony location. additional microphones
are available at an additional cost.
AVAILABILITY
daytime events are held from 11am – 4pm and evening
events from 6pm – 12am. different times may be
accommodated based on availability.
BEVERAGE SERVICE
if alcoholic beverages are to be served on the hotel
premises, under hotel’s alcoholic beverage license, the
hotel will require that only hotel servers and bartenders
dispense beverages. the hotel’s alcoholic beverage license
requires the hotel to (1) request proper identification (photo
id) of any person of questionable age and (2) refuse
alcoholic beverage service to any person who, in the
hotel’s judgment, appears intoxicated. the manhattan
beach marriott as a licensee is responsible for the
administration of the sales and service of alcoholic
beverages in accordance with california state legislative
commission’s regulation. it is a house policy, that all
alcoholic beverages must be supplied by the hotel. any
variance from this must be pre-approved with your event
manager.the client has the right to inventory bar contents
with the banquet captain before and after any function. if
the client chooses to relinquish the right, all billing is final.
CAKE
please contact our preferred bakery (torrance bakery) to
schedule your cake tasting. a cake cutting fee will apply to
cakes that are brought in from a different vendor.
CORKAGE FEE
the hotel corkage fees are the following: $15++ per bottle
for every 750ml bottle of wine or champagne, and $25++
for every magnum bottle of wine or champagne.
arrangements must be made in advance and approved by
either your wedding sales or event management
representative. outside liquor s not allowed in any hotel
meeting space.
DECORATIONS/SIGNAGE
streamers and confetti are prohibited in the function
room without the consent of your event manager. signs,
banners, posters, or any other items may not be affixed
to any wall, ceiling, door, etc. without advance
permission from your event manager.
LABOR CHARGES
additional carvers, station attendants, food or cocktail
servers are available at a flat fee of $175. labor fees are
subject to 9% state sales tax.
LINEN
wedding packages include specialty white, black and
ivory table cloths, napkins, chiavari chairs.
MARRIOTT REWARDS
earn points for future stays at marriott hotels and resorts
or frequent flyer miles with 17 airline partners if you are
or become a marriott rewards guest. the hotel offers
three points for each dollar spent on all charges
excluding service charge and sales tax. there is a
maximum of 50,000 points or 15,000 miles per event and
points will be processed approximately 1 week after your
wedding.
MENU PLANNING
we will make every effort to adjust menus to conform to
religious or dietary preferences. no food or beverage,
alcoholic or otherwise, shall be brought into the hotel by
the patron or attendees from outside sources without
special permission of the hotel. the hotel reserves the
right to make a charge for such services.

MENU TASTING
a menu tasting is offered complimentary for your
wedding event. a maximum of (4) guests may attend the
menu tasting. menu tastings are held tuesday through
friday between 2pm and 5pm. all menu tastings must be
scheduled at least (2) weeks in advance. contract must
be signed and deposit received to schedule your menu
tasting.
PARKING
the manhattan beach marriott is pleased to offer your
group covered parking at the overnight rate of $27 for
self parking and $32 for valet. event parking will be
discounted to $15 for self parking. should client select
wedding package, self parking is included in packages
MUSIC
recommendations for orchestras and other entertainment
are available through your wedding sales or event
management representative. should your entertainment
require additional power, a power drop fee of $600 plus
current taxable service charge and california tax. the city of
manhattan beach strictly enforces noise curfews on
amplified music in outdoor venues. the hotel will not permit
amplified music past 9:00pm on lakeview patio.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE
all social events require a deposit when the contract is
signed. 25% of your minimum revenue guarantee (non-
refundable) will be required in order to make the
reservation definite. 50% of your minimum revenue
guarantee will be due 90 days prior to your event. 100% of
your estimated total cost will be due 7 business days prior
to your event to be paid by certified check, money order,
cashier’s check or credit card.
WEDDING CONSULTANT
once your event is confirmed, one of our professional and
experienced event managers will work with you to make
your wedding dreams a reality. they will assist you with all
phases of your event, i.e. menu, room layout, décor, etc. to
ensure the high quality service that marriott is known for.
SERVICE CHARGE & SALES TAX
a 24% service charge and 9% state sales tax will be
added to the cost of all food, beverages, audio visual
charges, ceremony/reception and reception only fees.
the 24% service charge is subject to 9% state sales tax
(california state board of equalization regulation no.
1603) service charge and state sales tax are subject to
change without notice.

seating will be at round tables of 10 people. if there is to
be assigned seating, special seating diagrams with
numbered tables are available with different numbers of
people at each table from 8-12 people with an average of
10 people per table. a 66” round accommodates up to 10
guests and a 72” round accommodates 11 or 12 guests.
a labor fee of $25 per table will be added if there is an
average of 8 people or less per table in the ballroom.
SPECIAL MEALS
please let your event manager know if you require
special meals. children’s menus are available for those
12 and under. meals can be arranged for your vendors.
our staff will also work with you and your guests for any
special dietary requests.
VENDORS
recommendations for ceremony music, entertainment,
photography, videography and additional décor are
available through the wedding department. a client may
bring vendors onto hotel premises that have no contact
or legal connection with the hotel. in these cases, the
hotel must be assured that those vendors are informed
of all rules and regulations pertinent to any service or
products to be used at the hotel. vendors must provide a
certificate of liability insurance that lists the following
entities as additional insured’s:
