Recommendations Renovate the High School, based on Facilities

Issues and Curriculum needs. Complete work at three of the Elementary Schools

and Paxon Hollow, based on Facilities Issues and Curriculum needs.

Demolish the Gauntlett Center and replace it with a new Elementary School.

Move the Gauntlett Center functions to the fourth Elementary School, that school’s population will move into the new Elementary School.

Replace and repair roofs throughout the District. Repair parking lots as needed, following major

work.

HOW TO PROCEED WITH RECOMMENDATIONS

The following eighteen slides are a recommended “LONG RANGE FACILITIES PLAN” that chronologically describes how to remedy the facilities issues by implementing the previous slide’s recommendations. This plan begins the Fall of 2007 and is completed the Fall of 2014.

Begin the Bid process for the first phase of the roof renovation project.

Inform tenants that the Gauntlett Center will be closed & demolition will start the winter of 2008-09
