the vast range of natural stones from

around the world are divided into mar-

bles and granites, with both materials

quarried and extracted from the earth

in large blocks which are then cut into

slabs of various thicknesses before be-

ing polished or smoothed.

In the production of kitchen worktops

it should be understood that these are

natural materials and as such, each in-

dividual slab will have its own natural

characteristics.

marble is a natural material com-

posed of recrystallized carbonate

minerals, most commonly calcite or

dolomite and it has very little resist-

ance to acidic substances such as vin-

egar, lemon, tea, coffee, etc. and the

surface can easily be scratched.

granite is an igneous rock of mag-

matic origins and is made up of

several minerals including quartz,

and has a high density and excep-

tional hardness with an high impact

strength, and is highly resistant to

acidic substances and scratches.t

The natural characteristics of these

materials mean that the colour

shade and veining can vary from

slab to slab.

Our computerised management sys-

tem digitally photographs each in-

dividual slab, and this photographic

archive of the available slabs in the

warehouse gives both the client and

designer fundamental information

Shield® treatment

from the knowledge and experience of

aerospace research, Shield® finishing guar-

antees the best protection against dirt and

aggressive agents.

Shield® is a very thin layer of silica that is

completely invisible and makes the sur-

face non-absorbent and it is insoluble

for most organic compounds and suita-

ble for contact with food, and Shield® is

a permanent treatment that is integrated

in the surface.

Activated by a solvent that dissolves

the raw materials in it, Shield® is

spread over the slab surface

once the chemical reaction has taken

place, the solvent is volatised

the treatment is transformed into a

compound, which is united with the

stone, and makes the surface non

absorbent

absolute Shield® treatment

this is the perfect treatment for highly

precious and delicate natural stone such as

marble, slate and travertine where acidic

and staining substances can damage the

natural stone surface.

This treatment protects the natural

stone from the most common aggressive

agents in foods, making the surface stain-

resistant and of unrivalled practicality.

Absolute Shield® is a permanent treatment

that is integrated in the surface.

Schock®, worldwide leader of quartz sinks,

introduces the full integrated sink. With

a barely perceptible joint it is possible to

reach the high quality level, that was ob-

tainable up to now only for worktops and

sinks in solid surface materials. Sinks are

available in a range of 4 colours that per-

fectly match with our slabs colours.

The Quadro collection allows to have the

same colour for both the sink and the coun-

tertop: the four colours available (black,

dark grey, light grey and white) are ex-

actly equivalent to the ones from Marmo

Arredo collection.

but rigid support for stone worktops by

creating an under frame which makes

the overall worktop lighter and is ide-

al when producing very thick worktops

Eulithe® is an expanded, rigid polyurethane

panel that offers strong structural resist-

ance and can be used as a support for thin

slabs of natural stone and compound mate-

rials. By applying Eulithe® on the underside

of the natural stone and compound mate-

rials, it is possible to obtain much lighter

products whilst maintaining greater struc-

tural rigidity. Due to its minimum water ab-

sorption and dimensional stability, Eulithe®

guarantees a longer life compared to the

materials previously used as a support.

Cleaner”, which is a degreasing unag-

gressive spray that is non-toxic and 100%

biodegradable. A minimal amount of

foam sprayed from around 15-20 cm ac-

tivates the “molecular disintegration”
