Welcome to the festival . . .
Welcome to our ninth annual West Waterford Festival of Food, which this year celebrates The Cutting Edge of Cooking, showcasing fresh chefs, fresh flavours, interesting influences and good ideas.
We are delighted this year to have many of our festival favourites returning to us, as well as adding new elements like The Health Hub, where new health food trends will be discussed and demoed, Gourmet Garbage, a food waste dinner addressing the issue of food waste in the restaurant industry and our Cutting Edge of Cooking town hall demo which will showcase some of the best talent in Ireland’s current food scene.
Alongside this there will be lots of on-street entertainment, including our Seafood Saturday extravaganza, our famous Sunday market and lots of fund and activity at the castle, including our living wall displays, the fruition of our primary schools Seed To Plate project.

comeDY GRUB clUB
Venue: Lawlor’s Hotel Time: 9pm
Dungarvan Brewing company presents Danny Dowling’s comedy feast.
This year we are delighted to welcome back Joe Rooney, who played the inaugural Comedy Grub Club in 2014, who this year will be accompanied by Patrick McDonnell.
Joe Rooney is an actor, writer and comedian best known for his roles as Fr Damo in Fr Ted and Killinaskully’s Tommy Higgins. He wowed audiences at the festival of food comedy club in 2014 with his mix of stand up and music, and we expect more of the same this year.
Patrick McDonnell is well known for his roles on Naked Camera, The Savage Eye and fondly remembered by all as Eoin McLove on Fr Ted. Patrick will be bringing his own brand of hilarious stand up to the stage and we are delighted to welcome him to us for the first time.
all of this will be washed down with a pint of Dungarvan beer and comedy club grub by lawlor’s hotel, both included in ticket price.
