NIET PHARMACY INSTITUTE “EBULLIENCE 2018NIET Pharmacy Institute organized ‘Ebullience 2018’ fest from 22nd-24th March 2018. Various events like Card Making, Best Out of Waste, Modal Mania, Sci- Charades, Prashna Baan, The Mind Fizz, Robo Race, 3D- Machine Model, Time Game, Chem Wars, Counter Strike, Blind Coding, Tech Apti, Picture Perfection Description, Bio Treasure Hunt, Robo Soccer, Electric Collage etc. were organized by different departments of NIET. On this occasion NIET Pharmacy Institute organized Card Making and Best out of Waste in which students from various departments actively participated. First, second and third winners, in each event were awarded with certificates and trophies. They were awarded by Dr. Avijit Mazumder, Director and Dean (R&D), Dr. Rupa Mazumder. 1. Best out of West competition: Winner team: Sooraj Kumar, Khushi, Uma, Swati Parcha (B.Pharm 2nd year) Runner up: Kajal Chaudhary, Manorama and Kapil Bhalla (B.Pharm 3rd year) 2. WEEK-2017

NIET Pharmacy Institute successfully observed 56th National Pharmacy Week (NPW) in the name of DRXIAN Fiesto having the theme “Know Your Medicines: Ask Your Pharmacist” with full enthusiasm of all the students and faculty and staff. It was concluded with the blessing and very informative lecture by the eminent Mr PP Sharma, Ex-Vice President PCI n Ex- Drug controller, Delhi Govt.

WORLD PHARMACY DAY-2017

NIET Pharmacy Institute celebrated National Pharmacist’s Day on the theme of “From research to health care: your pharmacist is at your service” on 25th Sept. 2015. Some routine tests like Blood sugar level, blood pressure, etc were performed at free of cost under the supervision of Dr R.K. Chaubey. Discovery Approaches”.

RECENT TRENDS IN DRUG DISCOVERY Pharmacy Institute, NIET organized a guest lecture “Recent Trends in Drug Discovery” on 20th November 2017 by Dr. Pragya Bhateja, Founder Aravali Pharma & Life Sciences, Ex-Group Leader Ranbaxy and Mr. Tridip Chara, MD Aravali Pharma & Life Sciences. Dr. Pragya Bhateja was warmly welcomed by the students of Pharmacy Institute of NIET. She highlighted drug discovery process and its recent trends and told that the drug development process includes pre clinical research on micro organism and animals, filing for regulatory status, such as via the United States FDA for an investigational new drug to initiate clinical trials on humans, and regulatory approval .

PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY: AN OVERVIEW A guest lecture on the topic “Pharmaceutical Industry: an Overview” was organized for B. Pharm Ist year students by Pharmacy Institute of NIET on 21st August 2017. The speaker was introduced by Director Pharmacy Dr. Avijit Mazumder. The lecture was delivered by Dr. K. Mehta (Director) of V Grooms Pvt Ltd, Mumbai. The lecture was focused on the various areas of Pharmaceutical Industry includes sales and marketing, production, Q/A, R&D, Pharmacovigilance, clinical research and medical coding.

OF CLINICAL PHARMACIST Pharmacy Institute, NIET organized a guest lecture “Roles and Responsibilities of Clinical Pharmacist” on 22nd November 2017 by Mr. P. P. Sharma, Drug Controller Delhi Govt., Ex-Vice President of PCI. Mr. P.P. Sharma was welcomed by the students of Pharmacy Institute of NIET. He highlighted the role of pharmacist in our life. He also mentioned various responsibilities a pharmacist play. Clinical pharmacist the clinical works directly with medical professionals and patients, usually in a medical center, hospital or health care unit.
