Welcome to Arts Centre MelbourneAs a valued presenter at Arts Centre Melbourne we are delighted to offer our marketing services to your company, to help you connect with the right audience.
We encourage you to read through all of the opportunities outlined in this guide and wish your event every success.
Led by the Director of Customer Engagement, our team comprises four Marketing Campaign Managers, in addition to the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Assistant.
We also have a dedicated Content and Community Strategist, Digital Content Producer and Digital Content Coordinator.
Our CRM, publicity, graphic design and online teams work closely with the marketing team and would be happy to provide additional advice where required.
You will be assigned a dedicated Maarketing Campaign Manager on signing your venue agreement.

You will receive a number of ‘targeted’ emails. These emails will include 2 or 3 shows, and are sent to a targeted list of approx. 20–30K.
Our Online Marketing and CRM teams send emails through mail2, an email marketing platform that uses Tessitura Software® integration for tailored audience segmentation. This will ensure that your show is sent to the most relevant audience in our database.
Your scheduled eDM bookings will be detailed in the Marketing Support Plan from your Marketing Campaign Manager.

Our Weekly Entertainment Guide email (WEG) is sent to a list of 350K every Wednesday. Unlike our targeted emails (which are sent to a specific list based on the show/audience), the WEG is sent to everyone in our database who is opted in to receive email marketing.
Your scheduled WEG inclusions will be detailed in the Marketing Support Plan from your Marketing Campaign Manager, pending availability.

OUR PROCESS
1. Please email us your tag request, outlining the pages and types of tags you would like implemented, no later than 2 days before you want them to go live.
2. Our team will implement your tags via GTM and test accordingly on our internal test environment.
3. Once testing is complete, we will approve and publish tags to the live environment as per the requested dates.
4. Once tags are live, we then require you to undertake your own testing to ensure the data is pulling through.

At a minimum, you will receive x1 On Sale post on Twitter. If content is available, you will also receive x1 On Sale post on Facebook. You will receive bookings across our platforms throughout the duration of your campaign. Placement and frequency will depend on content availability, type and quality.
Please note: It is our responsibility to allocate bookings. We reserve the right to change arrangements without notice and cancel bookings if sufficient content is not provided.

FOR CONTENT
COPY
• Keep it short: 10-40 words max
• Keep it interesting: paid advertising sells while organic content builds the experience. Steer clear from ‘Selling Fast’ & ‘Book Now!’ messaging
• Storytelling is key: backstory, behind-the-scenes, ‘Did you know’ facts and exciting announcements are ideal.
CONTENT
• Keep it relevant: beautiful, engaging & shareable.
• Keep it clear: no text or supers
• Keep it varied: please supply a variety of assets, e.g. Hero shots, production images, backstage

• Keep video short: 15 seconds is ideal. Best shot comes first. Our average video watch time is 4 seconds.

• Social bookings are always subject to availability.
• Please inform your Campaign Manager of key campaign dates as early as possible so we can ensure your social bookings align with your preferences.
APPROVALS
• If you require approval rounds, please notify your Campaign Manager at the start of your campaign.
BOOSTED POSTS
Ads that are shown to Art Centre Melbourne’s Facebook fans.
Duration: Up to 2 days.
Minimum spend: $250 + 25% booking fee.
DARK ADS
Ads that are shown to non-fans (people that don’t follow Arts Centre Melbourne), and we use custom look-alike audiences and web-traffic.
Duration: 1 day – 2 months.
Minimum spend: $250 + 25% booking fee.
FACEBOOK ADVERTISING
Arts Centre Melbourne offers the management and optimisation of paid Facebook advertising by a team of dedicated Facebook specialists. Running a paid Facebook campaign with Arts Centre Melbourne offers:
• Expertise of Facebook advertising platform and best practice to ensure a positive return on investment,
• Access to Art Centre Melbourne’s historical ticketing data and website traffic to create custom audiences and lookalike audiences,
• A branded endorsement, where ads are served from the Arts Centre Melbourne Facebook and Instagram accounts.
We offer two types of ads:
Please note, both types of ads will be served from ACM Facebook (desktop and mobile), ACM Instagram, and Facebook display advertising unless otherwise specified. ACM may refuse boosted posts pending schedule availability post quality and audience suitability.
DELIVERY SCHEDULE:
• We require a minimum of 3 working days’ notice from delivery of brief and assets to set up ads.
• You will be provided with a proof prior to ad campaign pushing live.
SERVICE FEES
If you are interested in running a Facebook Advertising campaign, ask your Marketing Campaign Manager for advice.
• Service fee cost: An additional fee equal to 25% of the total ad budget, to a maximum of $500.Eg. $500 ad + $125 service fee = $625 total. These charges will be added to your event settlement.
• Minimum ad spend: $250
REPORTING
On completion of advertising campaign, we can provide a performance report. Available on request.

All on-site signage artwork must be approved by Arts Centre Melbourne prior to print production. Artwork must include the Arts Centre Melbourne template.
Please let your Marketing Campaign Manager know what signage you would like to book.
While some signage must be booked, certain backlit posters (Smorgon, St Kilda Road and Box Office) are installed around Arts Centre Melbourne in event date order and do not need to be booked. You are encouraged to produce these as early as possible. All bookable signage is subject to availability.
All costs associated with the production of signage will be incurred by the presenter at settlement.

STEPS FOR PRODUCING YOUR SIGNAGE:
1. Secure your signage bookings by completing the Signage Form. Return to your Marketing Campaign Manager for approval.
2. Download indesign template for relevant signage below.
3. File names must adhere to the following naming convention: Date_ShowName_Location_Type, eg.: 171724_SwanLake_StKildaRd_Backlit
4. Select a complimentary ACM colour for your artwork (see colours below). This is already set up in the template file. Please ensure that the header and footer colour are the same. Do not alter template colours.
5. Provide final artwork (PDF) to your Marketing Campaign Manager for approval
6. Once approved by your Marketing Campaign Manager, send final artwork directly to printer:

Arts Centre Melbourne uses Tessitura, a sophisticated CRM System that captures a vast array of information about ticket buyers. We use this information to help make decisions about your lists for your EDMs and Facebook advertising.
POSTER BOXES
Poster boxes are available for display of cast/credit program information for the duration of your season in the Fairfax Studio or Playhouse. Please notify your Marketing Campaign Manager if you’d like to use these. Simply organise for the posters to be printed and delivered to ACM prior to your season start date.

Hamer Hall is equipped with a full HD broadcast recording suite, and remote controlled camera systems within the auditorium and full recording and vision switching services from the broadcast suite. ACM can provide full DVD production of your concert or event, including artist interviews, animated promos, stills photography and livestreaming to destinations such as Facebook, Youtube and even your own website.
We offer broadcast quality formats such as 1080p HD and 4k UHD, we also offer sound delivery in 2.1 stereo and surround 5.1/7.1 options. Recent innovations provide options for 360 degree camera systems capturing views of the stages and MōVI Steadicam systems for moving shots.
