of the respondents,
which turned out to be rather optimistic, as based on the January 2010 survey
this figure hiked at 84,2,%.

the new survey there are recorded 50.000 enterprises more “in the red”, reaching a total of 225.000 enterprises.

In a preceding IME GSEVEE survey (July
2010), the prospects on liquidity during the 2nd half of 2010 were
negative by a 66,9% of the respondents,
a fact that turned out to be moderate , as a decrease in liquidity was recorded eventually by a 84,3%.

The assessment in the present survey showed that for 45,3% there was a decrease in its investment activity, while, additionally, the 39,4% of the respondents that have not changed their investment activity possibly suggests a low or zero level of investment.

24,1% of the respondents stated that it proceeded in a staff reduction during the 2nd half of 2010, while
only a 3,5% proceeded in an increase. The net rate of enterprises that proceeded in a staff reduction is
20,6%.
Therefore, following a moderate scenario and according to IME GSEVEE elaboration, it is estimated that there were about 100.000 jobs lost during the 2nd half of 2010.
The aforementioned lost jobs build on 88.000
more jobs estimated to be lost during the 1st half of 2010, according to the preceding IME GSEVEE survey (July 2010).

All three sectors show similar figures regarding turnover decrease. However, it is noteworthy that in manufacture sector more than 1 in 5 enterprises show a turnover decrease above
50%, a figure much higher than the one in trade (11,9%) and services (15,3%).

10 entrepreneurs stated that they didn’t address themselves to a bank for financing during the last half of 2010. As a matter of fact, this figure in self-employed reaches 84,8%. The survey gets confirmed by Bank of Greece data, where, in October 2010, a fall by 0,8%
is recorded in bank loans of industry, compared to October 2009.

Some people say that a strong state pillar must be created to promote development
financing, by joining together National Bank, Hellenic Postbank, and Deposits and Loans
Fund. On the other hand, other do not consider it necessary.

believes that taxes do not work as revenues, they are not properly exploited. Barely 1 citizen out of 10 thinks that this money will be exploited accordingly.

Compared to the figures of IME GSEVEE July 2010 survey, it seems
that as the situation deteriorates, so much come before more radical ways of action, such as protests, but also the suspension of payments, despite the fact that such an action has not been proposed so far by any representative-professional
organisation,
so as to create this kind of climate.
