Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 which begins its 11th season of competition in 2010 has established itself as the most competitive professional

in North America. The Rolex Series Daytona Prototype category hasattracted the attention of superstar drivers and universally recognized teams through its extremely raceable and relatively affordable format, and has revolutionized sports car racing with plentiful battles at the front of the field and close finishes in virtually every race. Like the that has redefined prototype sports car racing, the Rolex Series

has done the same for high-performance, production-based sports car racing. With an eye toward the cost-containment and close competition that has propelled the popularity of the Daytona Prototype class, the GT category provides a stable battleground for the world's top automobile manufacturers. Perhaps best of all, the Rolex Series two-class format allows race fans watching from the grandstands or on television and the media covering the sport to follow the action with just two easy-to-distinguish classes of race cars Daytona Prototypes and GT. GRAND-AM races at some of the world's most prestigious venues Daytona, Montreal and Watkins Glen and has taken the role of a top annual attraction at some of the newest venues in the industry such as Miller Motorsports Park, Barber Motorsports Park, Virginia International Raceway and New Jersey Motorsports Park. GRAND-AM is also making a newest form of circuit racing "Stadium Road Racing" on the road course layouts at tracks like Homestead-Miami Speedway or Daytona International Speedway. The Rolex Series is also home to some of the best and most recognized names in motorsports

and more and is a road racing showcase for NASCAR notables such as Open-wheel stars like and many others will also make spotlight appearances in the Rolex Series this season.

Daytona Prototypes are mid-engine race cars purpose-built for competition. Capable of speeds in excess of 190 mph, Daytona Prototypes also feature the latest in safety technology, including carbon fiber side-impact panels and a multi-point roll cage. Daytona Prototypes are produced by five chassis constructors. Each chassis is designed and manufactured independently but highly limited by Grand-Am rules to keep the competition very close.

Each chassis costs about $500,000. Engines are producting-based and include power plants from Ford, Pontiac, Lexus, BMW, Honda, Porsche and Infinity. All engines produce about 500 horsepower and have five- or six speed sequential gearboxes. In addition to Grand-Am specified chassis designs and engines, all Daytona Prototypes have a minimum weight of 2,275 pounds.

The GT division is home to production-based race cars that are similar in appearance to the latest sports cars. But with carbon fiber bodies and similar technology found in the Daytona Prototypes underneath, GT cars are all business. The rules for GT -short for GrandTouring - employ several methods of equalization, including weight, tire size and engine rev limits, to provide an even playing field for a variety of international and American-made cars.

GT engines produce between 400 and 450 horsepower and minimum weights range from 2,340 to 2,800 pounds. The top speed for GT carsis 180 mph. Costs for a GT car range from $250,000 to $400,000.

The series continues to grow where it matters most return on investment. Companies have seen a dramatic growth in the value of their involvement in less than three years based on record viewer ship andattendance every year. This return will continue to outpace other properties. The GROWTH [of Grand-Am] that we’ve seen in the last five years is reallyUNPRECEDENTED... That’s a WIN FOR EVERYBODY.
