Principal Responsibilities

1. Website News, E- Newsletters and Marketing Bulletins. a. Assist in the creation, editing and publishing of a range of written communications to stakeholders

including social media blogs, and posts, news bulletins and articles to the company website as requested by the Marketing Director.

2. Company Presence on WWW, Social Networks.

a. Assist the Company’s professional and corporate presence on the WWW, Facebook and Twitter accounts by means of securely maintaining and safeguarding the privacy settings and Passwords for the accounts.

b. Police and regulate twitter and Facebook followers and ensure that any offenders of the expected

standards are blocked or refused and reported immediately to the site administrators and the Director of Marketing.

c. Learn to produce ‘House Style’ facebook posts and tweets ensuring that these are professional

and secure at all times.

d. Learn develop and maintain an effective and celebratory presence of relevant news and information resources on the Company’s website and social media forums.

e. Report any suspected offensive, discriminatory or otherwise abusive material, communications or

postings without delay to line Management and the Director for Marketing.

f. Ensure that every effort is made to uphold, promote and educate learners and staff about National Campaigns, best practice and the Company’s Online Safety Guidelines and ICT Acceptable User Policy. Report all concerns or suspected problems or policy breeches to the Director for Marketing.

3. Internal DTP, Marketing and Signage

a. Ensure all corporate posters and promotion and marketing materials conform to ‘House Styles and Standards’.

b. Be a support and service point to internal staff and external agents for advise on ‘House Styles and Standards’ when external design and publishing is being used or when internal staff are designing marketing and promotional materials.

c. Report all non-standard advertising and promotion or marketing to the Marketing Director,

without delay. d. Seek approval for all marketing and promotional spend from the Marketing Director including

that for raw materials and stationery supplies.

e. Maintain a satisfactory supply of Corporate stationery and seek out approval on revisions before re-ordering any stocks. This will include managing the Corporate Business Cards for Management and staff.

4. Liaison with External Marketing Support Agents

a. Assist the Marketing Director by maintaining a regular and effective correspondence and liaison with web-designer and copywriters and any other promotional agency.

§ To actively contribute to the development and practise of company policies guidelines and procedures, in

all work areas. § To carry out duties in a way, which reflects that Training Plus is open, warm, respectful and committed to

equality of opportunity and anti-oppressive practices. § To attend conferences, seminars and or events representing Training Plus where and when directed and

appropriate. § To attend and participate in any in-house or external training as may be appropriately required and in

accordance with employee-allocated training budgets. § To prepare for and undertake ad-hoc day-to-day supervision as agreed with the HR Director. § To prepare for and attend regular appraisal with the HR Director, in accordance with company policy. § To prepare for and participate in all staff support/team meetings and forums, as provided by Training

Plus management. § To take responsibility for own time management, in relation to prioritising own workload as agreed

through the supervision process with the HR Director and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

§ Ensure the Company’s Philosophies and Vision Statements are fostered, communicated and

understood.

§ Training Plus is an innovative and dynamic organisation, continually undergoing change, therefore this job description will be periodically reviewed with the post-holder to take into account the changing demands of the roles and responsibilities within the company.
