O God of Creation, you have blessed us with the changing of the seasons. As we welcome the autumn months, may the earlier setting of the sun remind us to take time to rest. May the brilliant colors of the leaves remind us of the wonder of your creation. May the steam of our breath in the cool air remind us that it is you who give us the breath of life. May the harvest from the fields remind us of the abundance we have been given and bounty we are to share with others. May the dying of summer’s spirit remind us of your great promise that death is temporary and life is eternal. We praise you for your goodness forever and ever. Amen.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Today you are receiving your scheduled time for Parent Teacher Conferences. Please mark the date and time on your calendar. Financial Obligation According to our Financial Policy, all tuition, After School Care accounts, and lunch accounts must be current by Thursday, October 3rd. If you have an NSF check, these checks also need to be taken care of by this date. If account is not current by Thursday, October 3rd, children will not be allowed to participate in extracurricular activities or field trips. Bills have been sent home on a weekly basis, please make sure to check your child’s Wednesday Folder. We ask for your help and cooperation in this matter. If you have questions, you may contact the school. After School Care Payments It is imperative payments are made in a timely manner for After School Care services. The 3rd bill of the year is coming home in today's Wednesday Folders. Please review it and make a payment on or before the next billing date of 10/2/19. Parents who do not keep up with ASC bills and do not communicate with the principal or bookkeeper to make arrangements to do so will be asked to make other arrangements for their child(ren) after school. School Pictures School pictures are being sent home today. If you have any questions or concerns with the order, please contact Lifetouch. Picture retakes will be on Friday, October 18th. If your child was not present on picture day, then they will have their picture taken on this day. If your child needs retakes, then save the original pictures and send them with your child on retake day. Paragon Orders Paragon Orders will be delivered today. Parents may pick up their orders in the front lobby between 1:30pm-2:30pm. If the order is not picked up, then the order will be sent home with your child.

The money for Paragon is due by Thursday, October 3.

Fall Break Fall break begins at the end of the day on Thursday, October 3rd. We will return to school on Monday, October 14th. Please enjoy the time with your family and friends. Zesto Night Tonight is Zesto Night. Enjoy some ice cream and earn money for the school. Don’t forget to take the coupon that is being sent home today. Shout out to Grandparents I want to give a shout out to all of our grandparents. Grandparent’s Day was a huge success. We enjoyed celebrating Mass with grandparents, playing Bingo, activities in the classroom, taking pictures, and eating donuts. It was a great time to share with grandparents and make many memories. Thanks to all grandparents for making this day so special. Birthday Parties The first birthday party of the school year is Friday, September 27th. The party will honor the students who have birthdays in June, July, August, and September. For those of you who are new to St. Anthony, the school celebrates the birthdays in groups three times a year. Students who have a birthday during these months may be out of uniform on this day and are recognized at the class party. Room mothers will provide a treat for the class on these special days. Room parents if you are bringing in items please clearly mark them with the room number so that we know who the items belong to. The NED Show Returns The NED Show is a character education program that centers around three important messages that have lifelong relevance; Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. The NED Show will be visiting St. Anthony School on Wednesday, October 2nd. During the assembly, students will learn about the importance of these three life skills while also enjoying storytelling, magic, humor, and yo-yo tricks. Our school gets the assembly at no cost because we’re hosting a Pay-It-Forward Sale. Students will be allowed to purchase yo-yos on October 3rd, 14th, 15th. An order form will be sent home next week. First Quarter Honor Roll Announcement First quarter Honor Roll, Principal’s List, and Perfect Attendance will be announced at the school Mass on Wednesday, October 23rd. Honor Roll and Principal’s List is for 4th-8th grade and Perfect Attendance is K-8th grade.
