My name is I am the mother of and the

grandmother of'•••••• the daughter o~ When my daughter first met

•••• he was not working. My daughter had a baby girl from him in 2002. He moved

in with my daughter. Inoticed he became mentally abusive to my daughter. She would

corne around sad. Then. j became physically abusive to her. Police were being

called out to the horne at least every 6 month. He started damaging the house every time

they had a disagreement. He broke windows, put glue into locks and the garage door. He

was beating her and was afraid to talk about it until later. He beat her one day and ripped

off her clothes and she had to drive horne naked. He beat her once so bad she had bruises

all over her face and arms. She had a swollen eye and lips. On this day he also stabbed

himself with a fork and tried to blame it on my daughter. Ihave never heard him verbally

abuse her, but Iknow he has because I've heard my grandson, talk about

it. He c . ir sed her by calling her names. He mentally abused her after she had surgery by

referring to her as not being a woman. He has beaten other women also. My daughter had

to pick him up some years ago from out of town, where he had abused a young lady at her

family reunion. has been keeping since February 2011. Most of the

time she kept her 5 to 7 days a week, while was on the road. has

learned to depend o n " because they care for each other. has not

kept since March 15,2012, the first day of court. has invested a lot of

time into all of ••• children, especially •••• , •••• is a womanizer, he only

beats women and children, but not men.

My name is I am married

oldest brother o~ I have been in this family for over eight

years and witnessed~violent behavior on May 19, 2011 after my

daughter's kindergarten graduation ceremony.

_was upset with my sister-in for testifying and

telling of his violent history toward women and family. After the

graduation ceremony, ~approached __ while he held his little

girl, _ in his arms. He angrily yelled at _ in front of family

and friends "I'm going tof-kyou up!" Then he left the church in anangry rage and waited for her outside the church building.

That terrified me to the point where I was shaking with fear. I had

always heard about his violent behavior, but on this day, I heard him and

saw it with my own eyes. He was not the kind, friendly~on that day.

Instead, he displayed the violent outrageous angry behavior that I had

heard about. _ did not look like himself while in this rage-he

displayed an unpleasant, evil spirit that filled me with fear. Not only did

he wait outside for her-after she did not come out as quickly as heexpected, he moved his car and parked it next to hers.

I took_ out through another exit and locked her in my office at

the school next door until he left the premises and it was safe for her to

leave.

If he displayed this angry rage in public, I can only imagine what he did

behind closed doors with Marissa. I can attest to being in fear for my

life, and he wasn't upset with me. That's how powerful his wrath was onthat day.

... I have never witnessed him hitting my mom, because whenever anything like that

took place me nor my sister were around. I have experienced his out of control temper.

Meaning, that he yells and goes to radical solutions to solve problems. On several

occasions, he has yelled at my morn for false accusations such as cheating and other

things. I have witnessed him hitting and in the chest if they did

something he didn't like. In my heart I feel that he can care for his children financially

but not mentally with the type of job he has and his out of control temper. He drives

trucks and is gone several days of the week. ••• and•••• have stayed with us

while their dad was on the road. To be honest, I've never approved of •••••

relationship with my morn.

I, have known for almost 12 years. We have a 9 year

old daughter, •••• _ together. My relationship with _ is one that I have

encountered violence, intimidation and control. During our relationship I have been hit

in the mouth, pushed into a wall, ran into a neighbors house as well as beating outside

where he striped me of my clothing .•••• has a very violent temper. I can recall

him suj. -r gluing my house locks so I could not get in. He has broken in my home and

destroyed property that did not belong to him. He has damaged my parents rental

property by throwing rocks at the house. I have filed several injunctions against __

__ but for fear of my safety and his involvement with our daughter I dismissed them.

The last injunction that I filed on ••• " was inference to an incident that happened on

November 1, 2006. On this day we got in an argument about his 4thchilds mother whom

he impregnated while we were in a relationship. Words were exchanged and when I tried

to avoid him, going into our room, he broke the door off the hinges and told me that this

was his aouse and he could destroy the property if he wanted to. When I got up to go to

my sons room to avoid him again, he said something I replied with something and before

I knew it he had punched me in my face. As I attempted to call the police he came

towards me and yanked the cord out the wall. After he realized the call went through, he

went to the kitchen, took a fork and stabbed himself in his arm in front of me and his son,

He told his son to tell the officers that I had stabbed him repeatedly in his

forearm. When the officers got there he told I stabbed him, but the didn't believe him.

They srw the damage that was done to the home, they took pictures of my face and

arrested •••• for domestic violence. I filed an injunction for no contact on the

following day. He returned to the home on the day he was released from jail. When he



came with a police escort, while the police were outside he destroyed the cushions from

the couch and removed the coil from the air conditioning unit. I was unaware of these

things until the following day, but I didn't call the police. In 2007, I revised my

injunction to no violence so that he may continue a relationship with our daughter. In

2008, we got into a relationship again and as time went on his temper got worse. He has

flared up at me as to hit me, but with my children around he would never. He has only

been verbally abusive to me in front of my children and physically when his children

were around. I departed again from in November of 2008 and did not return until the

beginning of 2011. In February of 2011 _ got an order that awarded him

temporary custody of and asked for my help. I lived with_ until May 9,

2011, w: 'ere I took care of.-and I continued to care fo and

••• while he was out on the road. They stayed with me on as many as 5 to 7 days a

week. He was there for them financially but not in a very nurturing way. I can say that I

spent more time with ..... I enrolled ••• into daycare (Chatman'S Christian

Academy and Daycare) as well as took her on doctors appointments and everything else

that was required. I treated her as if she was one of my children. We formed a special

bond that he has tried to back on numerous occasions. When he would get upset with me

he would stop us from seeing her. The last time that ••• stayed with me was on

March ~5, 2011, the first day of Ms. Alexander's trial. He tried to persuade me from

going to court so I was not able to testify if they called me. • •• sent me a text

message while in court asking me, what did I tell the people when I was upset with him. I

would never let him know that I had spoken to the defense attorney for fear of my safety

as well as him no allowing me to se~ I was terrified that he had found out I



talked to the defense attorney. That was the last time ••• had spent with me. My

name was still on the daycare listing so I was able to go and visit her. I was glad to see

her and she was as happy as I was. It broke my heart when I had to leave her at the

daycare, screaming at the top of her lungs. Then on April 10,2012, I took my daughter to

see_ at the daycare, since she hadn't seen her or spoken to •••• in almost a

month. The next day I called to find out how .... was doing and they informed me

that ..... took me off the daycare list, permitting me from seeing her. This was the

only way I was able to assure her grandmother, Ms. Jenkins, that ••• was doing fine,

smce ••••. wouldn't allow Marissa Alexander's family to have contact with
