Issue, Description &

Background

The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee (IDDAC) is established in

accordance with OAR 411-320-0030 (10) for oversight of the Marion County Community Developmental

Disabilities Programs, and ORS 430.631 as the disability issues advisory committee. The IDDAC

participates with the Marion County Health Department in planning local programs, and oversight of

local resources and services that address the needs of IDD individuals.

There are currently vacant positions on this committee; terms of individual positions are for four years.

Three qualified applicants, Patricia Davis, Cori Mielke, and Sandra Loucka, are being recommended for

appointment to these vacant positions with a term ending December 31, 2020

1) Appoint Patricia Davis, Cori Mielke, and Sandra Loucka to the Intellectual and Developmental

Disabilities Advisory Committee;

2) Do not appoint Patricia Davis, Cori Mielke, and Sandra Loucka to the Intellectual and Developmental

Disabilities Advisory Committee.

This matter came before the Marion County Board of Commissioners at its

regular scheduled public meeting on February 22, 2017, to consider the appointment of

members to the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee

Members (IDDAC); and,

WHEREAS, the IDDAC is established in accordance with OAR 411-320-0030

(10) for oversight of the Marion County Community Developmental Disabilities

Programs, and ORS 430.631 as the disability issues advisory committee to serve the

public interest by participating with the Marion County Health Department in planning

local programs, oversight of local resources and services that address the needs of IDD

individuals; and

WHEREAS, there are vacant positions on the Marion County Intellectual and

Development Disabilities Advisory Committee; and

WHEREAS the board finds Trish Davis, Cori Mielke, and Sandra Loucka

qualified and willing to serve as a members of the Intellectual and developmental

Disabilities Advisory Committee; now, therefore,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Trish Davis, Cori Mielke, and Sandra Loucka

are appointed to the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee for

terms ending December 31, 2020.
