THE CHALLENGE

This and the next generation of prospective war fighter are highly connected to their apps - consuming large amounts of social media and mobile content each day. MCRC is challenged with a new recruiting paradigm - generating, qualifying and nurturing leads while combating attrition during the entrance cycle.

THE SOLUTION

A systematic and programmatic approach to:

1. Social media listening to engage those interested in joining the Marines.

- Capture. Engage. Enlist.

2. Targeted recruiting station engagement of our current DEP members.

3. Drive curated content from the top of the recruiting command.

- Lead generation. Reduce DEP attrition. Local in-app conversations.

4. “Sponsored Credits” distribution campaign via the letters platform to build relationships.

5. Analytics and social behavior mapping of the 2016 prospective Marine, enlisted and officer.

THE RESULT

Complement MCRC’s strategy by uniquely examining the touch-points, influences and relevant content along this journey to optimize the entire recruiting cadence.

SSIX - Sandboxx Social Intelligence Experience

- Engage prospects who have questions about the military but are not interacting directly with any official accounts. Sandboxx automatically engages with these conversations.

- Engage prospects who mention on social about their family members and friends joining the military online.

- Capture phone numbers, emails, social handles, pixels, and cookies for SSIX processing across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.

- Deliver content about benefits of the Marine Corps to friends and family

- Increase recruitment by converting parents, spouses & teachers to Marine Corps brand advocates

- Decrease attrition caused by family and friends being negative about joining

- Build relationships between recruiters and friends of potentials by connecting interested friends on Sandboxx directly with recruiters (not just direct them to marines.com)

- Increase organic content from current poolees/applicants by encouraging the DEP to share photos and updates from their recruiting station functions. Immense power in having thousands of DEP posting

- All recruiting stations are built into Sandboxx Units. Build a Poolee/Applicant community and make it easier to deliver/consume content for the entire poolee social graph

- Hyper local support community for those joining the Marines

- Hyper local support structure for friends/family of those joining

- Another influence avenue for both segments

Social Platforms

Give MCRC the ability to push content to the network of each Poolee/applicant

- Manage content and communications at any level: From HQ down to the recruiter.

- Improve recruiting process: Let local PAO officers push content/messaging and automatically handoff any responses to individual recruiters - Drive Authenticity

- Use the Sandboxx influencer network to post call to actions about joining the Marines (many young people may be interested but no one tries to close the sale).

- Provide content for influencers to post at optimal times - Veteran's Day, Marine Corps Birthday, after a big event (e.g. National News).

- Provide influencers with content & verbiage to make it effortless for them to share.

- Authentic content by the people who are actually in the Marines Corps.

Sandboxx Letters Platform - A Lead Generation Tool

- Recruiters can engage students by having them to send letters to other students at the school who are at boot camp

- Capture email and social handles of those who send a letter

- Show students how the Marines takes care of their own

- Increase moral as the recruit has a flood of new support letters

- Makes the Marine Corps less anonymous and mysterious to prospective Marines

- JROTC classes can become more engaged with the Marines by sending letters to school alumni that are at basic and OCS.

- Influencing recruiters, the DEP, friends and family to send letters throughout MCRD / OCS

- Create a specialized Sandboxx letters “Sponsored Credits” distribution campaign for specific needs.

- MRP Drops, females, at risk recruits/candidates, other data driven demographics.

- Measure correlation between number of letters and graduation rates. Poll recruits after MCRD for success behaviors.

- Measure success rates of each RSS.

- Provide valuable insights into any other data we can measure.
